My poke name is Flojo.
How about we all have a thing where, if we can, we open gifts between 6-6:30 on spotlight and do that each week regardless then if anyone is due to power up that day they’ll get it?

Gio is there right now but I’ve still no revives and no idea what I can use to beat him.
My machamp has been powered up and is holding his own again Persian but next one is wiping out my vaporean and dragonite, so not sure what to use.

My level 36 account beat double lapras.
I went in with aggron, reshiram, and zekrom. Aggron took out first lapras and shields, zekrom the second, and reshiram the houndoom. It wasn't a planned team. I just went in randomly to see what she had. Aggron was painfully slow burning the shields. Swamper is a much better plan.

@bellabelly - I use the set nickname thing. That way if I search in my friends for Mumsnet I get all of you guys. Plus it helps me remember who is a local player, who is an online friend.

@WitchSharkadder I can't beat her double lapras either. And I've now run out of revives for all my good Pokémon.

I was just about to run out of revives, but got there with the random combo of Hippowden, Emploleon and clefable with a moonblast attack

@OntheWaves40 just checked, Flojo is nine days away from levelling up with Debstonmon2.

Oh I've made such a stupid error... Am a bit distracted because my mum arrived to stay with us late last night but I have been doing my grunt battles so I can get 2 more leaders beaten before the special research ends... Then I realise my bag was full and I didn't get any rocket radar for 2 grunt and Jesse and James battles today... Arghhh!!!

@kevinbacone zoom out in your map and you’ll see a team rocket hot air balloon. Tap that and you can battle them.

How's everyone doing with the elite task? I've won against 15 Grunts, won against Giovanni but haven't managed to beat a single Team Leader yet, despite having a few goes at Arlo earlier today. Presumably even if I did defeat a leader, I'd have to rebuild my Rocket Radar each time by battling another 6 grunts, so I am VERY unlikely to get it done tomorrow. I really want a shiny Pineco from Arlo!

I've done 3 leaders, arlo twice and cliff once. Jessie and James seem to appear a lot for me so that's double components. Not sure I'll complete it tomo but will see what flies over

Bella - I'm Wurzel just go for it when you like with the gifts. I'm not bothered about xp or organised enough.

I’ve stopped with the elite stuff, I’d only ever beat sierra so finally I’ve done cliff, Arlo and Giovanni and decided I’m just going to hang onto my left over radars for next month - ds tells me looming in the shadows restarts every month.
I probably wouldn’t have got this far either if they hadn’t been turning up at my house. Bit lazy

Oh I did do all the grunts though, much easier when you don’t have to worry about battery life!

I really hope they might keep the balloons - maybe have them appear on set days or something. It's so much more convenient! My favourites are the Meowth balloons, very cool.

I thought they were staying, not as often without the event though.

I am giving up with trying to battle the leaders. I tried and tried against Arlo in his balloon just now. Enough!

Yes! Spotlight hour 6-7pm. Extra zubat and double XP for evolving.

I'm TeamT&G and TeamG&T, I can see Lilynessie (both), Mistyxycool (G&T only), and Ginliker (T&G only) will all go great on the next gift exchange.

Been saving up my evolves all week and naming them "Evo" - thanks to whoever had that tip! Started naming any within 20 candy of evolving with the prefix "NE" (near evolve) so I can better keep track of them.
