Positive Influence Gaming Mentor Idea

Looking to gauge interest for a service that provides a positive influence gaming buddy for your child online.

The way it would work is, for an hourly rate, your child is matched with one of our DBS charted and safeguarding trained gamers. They will spend time with your child online, modelling positive gaming habits.

Our focus would be primarily to support them with every day struggles in an environment where they are familiar and how to diffuse "gaming rage" and manage conflict appropriately. We'd also challenge your children to think about internet safety and how they can take initiative in protecting themselves online.

Is this something you'd see as valuable and worth your children's time and your money? If so, how much would you be willing to pay or a service like that?

Essentially, we would be providing a 'buddy' mentoring scheme that older children and youth are more likely to engage with

Yes. I think this would be a great idea.

Thanks for your reply :)

Do you have any idea how much you'd be willing to pay for a service like this?

Can you see any pitfalls with the service that you think need addressing?

I think it is a good idea too. I am a gaming mum myself, so my dc doesn't need it, since I can be one to teach and influence. He has no limit to screen time, but it's because he can control himself.
Children without parents in gaming, may need someone to guide. Have no clue about price though, since I won't be paying for something I can do myself.
