Two player board games

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend any good two player board games?

We often find board games are set up for 3 people

Old school Mastermind. We play most board games with just 2 people thinking about it. Only Cluedo seems to require 3 or more. We play a lot of Qwirkle, Ingenious and Rummikub.

Code names duet is good

Carcassonne works for two players, and lasts a good amount of time.

Can recommend 7 Wonders Duel, it's made to be a specific 2 player game. The full version 7 Wonders is also excellent.

Splendor also works well as a two player

Have a look on Zatu Games, very good website, often cheaper than Amazon though they do charge delivery

Pandemic works, as does Forbidden Island. They are both co-operative games, so no falling out

Patchwork and Hive are for 2 players
Most games I have are 3 plus

Pandemic (especially the shorter game editions), Duelasaur Island, Charterstone, Aeons End Legacy, Hogwarts Battle, Bargain Quest, Time Stories

We've been enjoying Backgammon lately

Wingspan - collecting birds for your nature reserve

DH and I love board games and we live in Germany, we go to Spielwiesn every year - massive games convention where you can rent out and play games all weekend!

My DH ordered a cribbage board today which looks like a fun game too!

There's a super fun role playing game called 'Auditions' where each person must act a character/animal aswell as doing a action to go along with it. Honestly it is so good. We played it with the family and kids and we did it for literally hours. I was howling with laughter! i recommend so much.
