So on my last message I put a smily face..... now I can see gin.... guess mumsnet associates happiness with gin haha

I've just downloaded this, ostensibly for my DC, but I'm the only one hunting for Pokemon! I tried to interact with a gym yesterday, it kept telling me to walk closer, my nose was nearly touching the damned pineapple (it's a big wooden pineapple, don't ask)!

Just - it's a device that automatically catches Pokémon and spins stops for you. Ideal for those of us who drive a lot. It costs around 30 quid from amazon. It only uses red balls though and it only throws one ball so the catch rate is about 30-40%. Not amazing but if you're driving it's better than nothing.

@feesh I could see it coming as they've sent me gifts all week but wouldn't open the one I'd sent them until today 🙈

I love my gotcha but only use it for spinning stops whilst I'm driving. It means I never run out of balls anymore.

It only works at 50 kph or under. I set mine to automatically spin every gym/ stop as I drive past. It keeps my bag topped up with balls and gifts. The other players where I live all use it to catch Pokémon too - it certainly boosts your shiny rate, and makes it easier if you use more than one phone. I have used it to catch Pokémon but I didn't find it as satisfying and I'm not a competitive player so now don't bother.

Can anyone tell me how the gotcha works? Do you need to have the app open as well for it to work? Can you play with the app and use the gotcha along side it, like on community day?

I am seriously tempted to get one!

hello, we play with DS - what is coordinegging please? We've got to level 26 with only 3 friends so far, think we are blagging it...

@funnelfanjo we are 3 hours ahead here, does that make any difference? My kids are at a party from 11am-1pm our time which is perfect for me to have a cheeky play, does that work for you or is it too early in the day?

No Unowns here but I did hatch a Feebas which has at least helped with that task.

Muree yes you can. You can have it on if you're not in the mood to play and it will work. Or you can have it on while you play and it will catch stuff for you. I do have mine on during community day just because sometimes there's too much to check so we sort of share the load. Having said that you will potentially have shinies run away from you (but you won't know so it won't hurt!)

I try to keep at least 300 red balls as they can run out pretty quick if I do a long drive. I've had a few shinies caught on it but not many. I mainly like it because I drive around in school traffic and it works perfectly then as I'm never driving too fast.

On other news I've hatched a T!! It's a miracle. I now have 15 out of 26 unown. Yay.

Spectacular fail today at soloing an Alolan Raichu. I tried eight times and wiped out my stock of revives but just couldn’t bloody do it. But I kept coming SO close 😩😩

Dulce if you’re storing 1450 I won’t feel so bad about investing in a bit more capacity. I always want to use coins for something more fun, but storage is important ...

64 yeah I agree. I hate using coins for it but there's so much space being taken now with shinies / shadow / purified and plus the other stuff, I don't know how some people cope. And I throw away a lot of repeat shinies or I would have no space left.

I've got 1500 spaces in my Pokémon storage, still always filling it up though. I can never bring myself to transfer shinies but I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get rid of some (I'm looking at you lot, 25 shiny Slakoths)

I hatched my first Gible today at last. I didn't get my Unown 'T' though which was the only one I needed (out of this week's batch, I haven't got 27/28 or anything)

I have 1400 item storage and constantly run out of space. I'd like to spend my coins on Pokémon storage but it goes on incubators and item storage

Wow, found a wild absol! Its rubbish but still I'm liking the pokemon spawns atm

@PhilomenaButterfly, sometimes the GPS is just a bit off. I either reboot the app or walk around and see where works.

Yeah, some unusual and varied spawns around. I've had loads of Mareeps, Alolan Sandshrews and other rare mons in my living room the last couple of hours.
