I'm off into town today. Hoping to fill up my energy. Also, puppy can go on walks outside now so we can head to our local park 😂

My local park is amazing to play in, it's 10 minutes away, and a mile round (goes round a lake).

5 fortresses, 20+ inns, and a few greenhouses. There are about 6 inns, a few greenhouses and a fortress scattered about in the other direction. I live on a greenhouse/portal/pokestop.

I dont have to align and tap anymore, i know there is a setting to auto aline, but ive turned that off.

There's a glitch at the moment that if you change your phone language to something else then log in to wizards and do a trace it will give you the 2 countries badge (and coins).

There's an even bigger glitch that no thing's bloody spawning!

Got to sit in a park for 2 hours yesterday at a fortress with 2 inns and a greenhouse in reach. Got lots of things from battling!

Does anyone know, once you’ve placed an image is it worth still collect those things or should I just save my spell energy?

I still collect them. Once you have completed a page you can "prestige" it and it will give you a new frame and reset them to zero again. You also still get xp and points that help you fill and open the treasure chests. Sometimes you also get extra rewards such as a silver key/ a coin or a dark detector.

You are still getting experience points, and contributing to achievements etc

Also you do sometimes find mysterious items (?) I got a wand the other day

I've downloaded this for DD to play as she's bored of PoGo. I haven't a friction idea as to WTF is happening. Tomorrow we shall go and explore it outdoors and see how it works.

The brilliant Harry event...

I've completed all the tasks until part two and haven't got all the items for the first bit of the registry. The purple icons for traces only ever give quidditch Harry and hedwig. Dors that sound right? Do I just need part 2?

I put an eyeball in at an Inn and nothing happened. Any ideas where I went wrong?

@dillite they are dark detectors and you can place up to three in an inn for 30 minutes. Apparently it increases the chances of foundables appearing. I’ve read it’s better if you walk about rather than stand in one place. I put one each in two neighbouring inns and walked round keeping returning to that area and there did seem to be more things appearing x

When should cast protego in challenges. Is it asap or last minute or doesn't it matter

@bruffin I would say as soon as possible, when the arrow comes up. If you leave it then the enemy will attack and it will say “you’ve been hit” I presume this knocks you out faster

How are people spending their gold? At the moment I’m just hoarding it, I’m worried as I level up I’ll suddenly need it!

Vault extensions for me 475 coins for more room in spell energy, potions and ingredients

I live rurally so don’t catch everything but I think buying spell energy would be a waste. I think some more serious players have run out of runestones for fortresses so they buy those with in game gold. Again living rurally I don’t manage a battle every day so it’s not something I’ve needed yet

Question... how do I get the other foundables for the events? I've got Harry Potter and Hedwig, but there's loads more and they never appear?

Looks like a load of us are bored having got to level 40 of Pokémon GO, I wonder whether that was Niantic's intention. There are loads of wizards unite posters on my road and a very healthy pogo playing community, I wonder whether they are so clever as to put the posters where they know people play?
I'm level 11, still getting my head around how to play. I don't like that I have to tap a foundable to find out what it is, whereas for pogo you can see what's around you. I also find it's a lot harder to remember what you've got already and what you still need to find fragments of, so you know what you should spend potions on trying to catch. The GPS definitely isn't as good as pogo, I find my position doesn't move very smoothly. I am not much of a HP fan so a lot of things don't make a lot of sense! I think I might rewatch all the movies so I know what's what.
