Anyone playing? It's currently installing on my Xbox and I'm quite excited. It looks so good.

Yes, I am! It's incredible. There's so much detail. Don't make plans for the next couple of weeks Grin

Mummydarlz12 · 24/11/2018 16:18

as a woman i thought that i wouldn't like it when my husband offered me a go,but it is incredible!!! Arthur and his buddies are an amazing gang and i sometimes wonder where the time goes when im playing.

PiperPublickOccurrences · 28/11/2018 08:40

Yes, I am! Loving it. Currently wandering around exploring with the horse following behind, robbing people, catching fish and looking for dinosaurs and dreamcatchers.

It's such a pretty game, the graphics are so well made.

As per my username I got a little obsessed with this. I finished the main story now and enjoying wandering around the countryside and hunting legendary animals and fish. The storyline is probably the best I've ever seen in a game with incredible voice acting. at times you feel like you could have been watching a film , you forget it's a game. I'd give it 9/10. It loses a point for the slow start and the lack of fast travel options which means that occasionally you have to spend 20 minutes or so just cantering around to get where you want to go.

mamaduckbone · 16/12/2018 20:52

Please can you experts give a verdict on what age it would be realistically suitable for? Is it definitely an 18+ as per the official rating? Teen ds has black ops 4 with the gore turned off and various friends are supposedly getting this game for Christmas but I’m very unsure. It looks amazing but pretty adult...

MacarenaFerreiro · 16/12/2018 21:02

There's no sex and not much bad language. The themes aren't dark, there's no torture or anything too grim. There is a lot of shooting and blood though.

I'd let my 16 year old play it.

mamaduckbone · 16/12/2018 21:22

Ds1 is only 13 though - too violent?

MacarenaFerreiro · 16/12/2018 21:38

It is quite graphic with injuries and slow-mo replays. I'm not sure if you can turn those off. I would look at some playthrough videos on youtube and made up your own mind to be honest.

Commonsense media says 12 plus.

mamaduckbone · 16/12/2018 21:42

Thank you. Instinct says no, but to ds1 it’s so important to be able to play with his mates and if they all have it and he doesn’t it will be The. End. Of. The. World.

CrimpBrunette · 29/12/2018 23:48

I've bought it as a Christmas pressie- to myself Grin Starting it on Monday, excited!

weebarra · 29/12/2018 23:50

Started playing it with DH last night. I think we could lose some evenings. The graphics are great.

knittedjest · 29/12/2018 23:54

Yes, planning to start my second go around in a couple of days. Honestly it may be the second best game I've ever played after the Witcher 3.

If I can you one spolier free piece of advice, everytime you wake up check Arthurs journal. It's a beautiful piece of art and a real insight into the character but most people (me) don't really think to check it to later in the game and regret it. Don't be that person, it really encourages you get out and do EVERYTHING to see what Arthur has to say about it.

CrimpBrunette · 30/12/2018 14:22

Thanks for the advice knitted, I'll be sure to do that! Grin any other tips?

WelcomeToGreenvale · 05/01/2019 01:43

Oh Arthur. I didn't think I liked him at first but oh. Arthur.

goose1964 · 05/01/2019 01:52

I played for about 20mins having died twice, then DS1 stole my disk.

SpoonBlender · 05/01/2019 02:56

Good, innit! I love all the callbacks (call-forwards?) to RDR1. Going to play that through again once I've done another few dozen hours in RDR2.

tardiz · 07/01/2019 14:25

I've just started. I keep having horse issues 😆

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 14/01/2019 20:44

I've lost a week to this game alreadly. It can take a few more. Arthur is one my fave VG characters.

00100001 · 21/01/2019 19:29

It's in my wish list :)

ChocChocButtons · 03/04/2019 22:26

I just started it this weekend, it’s A masterpiece! I could happily ride the horses and do nothing else.

I would let a 13 year old play. It’s no worse then a marvel film the violence.

SammySamSam09 · 03/04/2019 22:34

I got it when it came out last year. I completed it in 5 days. I have replayed it many times now being good, bad & neutral. I absolutely love the game, its breathtakingly beautiful. The story keeps you on your toes and it's easy to play. My 12 year old watched me play it and wasn't disturbed by any of the gameplay. Best game I've played in ages.
