Can anyone tell me what this game is about and the recomended rating please?

We are not a gaming family and have never heard of it but my son keeps asking for it

You have to survive and be the last (or last team) out of 100 players.
It's not violent in the same way as doom type games. There's no gore when you shoot someone. They just vanish once they die.
There are challenges like treasure hunts so it isn't all about shooting.
It's quite easy to want to play it compulsively though.

It's a survival game, may be suitable for the right age.
