WhatToDo where (roughly) are you to see shiny Magicarps. I live IN a marina and have never seen single one!

BouleBaker Two of them I got on a beach in Devon within thirty seconds of each other! The third I got wandering about town.

BouleBaker I used to live in a marina and neither of my shiny magikarps came from there. I got one in the middle of Manchester when I was chasing kangaskhans and unowns around, and one in a completely different town.

I've had a good PoGo day. Nice 98% level 25 Aron wild catch, which got iron tail and stone edge when I evolved it, so no need to use TMs. Followed shortly after by a 93%, weather-boosted, shiny Lugia, very happy with that. Then a late T5 raid and a 96% Lugia, my best yet.

I'm loving the late raids being back. Much better than everything grinding to a halt early evening.

Less than impressed by Mareep for the community day tbh, but at least the shiny is pretty. I think the reduced egg walking is going to be the main event for me. Lots of incubators and a 3-hr power walk!

WhichHatNextPikachu Great catch! Aggron’s best moveset however is Iron Tail/Heavy Slam, so I would definitely use a charge TM to get that so you have double STAB and maximum damage.

Is anybody near Manor House Zoo in Tenby that could go knock my guys out the gyms there? They've been in for 15 days now and it's time they came home from their extended holiday!

I’m so fed up with the torrential rain which has put me off any walking to hatch eggs. Seems to be keeping people indoors as all my ‘mons in gyms have been there for three or four days. I’d love to have a go at a legendary but don’t know anyone else who is playing at the moment. All my friends who were really in to it a year ago have moved on.

If you do some simulations in PokeBattler there's very little in it, and in some situations Stone Edge is better. But I have other Aggrons with Iron Tail/Heavy Slam and other places that my TMs will make more difference (Lugia I'm looking at you).

Yeah I wouldn't use a Charge TM on that. It doesn't make enough difference to the stats AND while Aggron is useful it's not an AMAZING mon, so defo not worth a Charge TM.

I have over a hundred TMs from doing so many raids so I don’t find them that rare, hence why I said I would use one But if you don’t have a lot then you’re right in that it probably isn’t worth it.

I have a LOT of Fast TMs but only around 20 Charge TMs at the moment. I find the Charge TMs to be much rarer in general than the Fasts.

That’s weird. I have more charge TMs than fast TMs!

hmm odd. I know everyone else round here has the same ish ratio of Charge to Fast. Fast are easily disposable. Charge are to be used only for REALLY useful mons.

I haven't had any eggs for a few days. I walk pass over a dozen PokéStops every day just on the way to work. Could it be something to do with the new quests?

Yeah I do loads of legendary raids and when I can't I solo level 3s as that gives good rewards too.

toad defo not to do with quests. I've hatched 16 eggs since yesterday morning and have a full set again now so I've picked up at least 16 in the last 2 days.

I've never had an Ex-Raid pass yet, despite doing a few raids at the local park gym where everyone else gets them for.

GreenShadow There are very specific parameters for getting ex-Raid passes. You generally have to raid a lot (Niantic recommend doing lots of raids in different places as well as known ex-raid spots to increase your chances).

The long and short of it is that you have to raid an ex-raid gym in a small time window (one to two weeks), but the time windows aren’t clear. You can get close by working out when Ex-Raid passes will drop, but you can never be certain.

A few raids here and there aren’t going to cut it; you’d have to be very lucky! You have to be a frequent raider.

If you’ve raided the chosen ex-raid gym in that certain window and X amount of people have too, when ex-raid passes are sent out (they are generally sent out across the world at the same time, there is a pattern you can work out) it will show up on screen and appear in your bag.

While ex-raid passes are easier to obtain now than previously, they are still hard and you have to put the work in raid wise.
