I struggled for ages but now do sort of a rough diagonal ellipse that seems to work even when my thumb is stiff.

Following Earth Day’s rewards, we also now have the chance to get a shiny Wailmer!

As such, here is an updated version of the shiny Pokemon available and how you can obtain them (Lugia is on there as part of the shiny dex however it is crossed out due to the fact you cannot get it at this time).

I was out earlier, using a berry and twirling poke balls in the hope of completing level 7/8. Without much hope as I am rubbish at throwing the curveballs and managed to get an excellent throw when I wasn't even trying (was hoping for a shiny wailmer). Woohoo!!

Now I just need to use about 12 more berries for the next level.

OSM has updated which means new nests and spawn points.

It also means that 3 of the 5 spawn points reachable from my house and garden have disappeared 😭

Is there a special event on at the moment for wailmers? I've must have caught about a zillion today

Check your news. Extra water, ground and grass spawns with triple stardust on them.

By the end of school run I should have enough candy for a wailer evolution. Finally . 😊

I'm using this event to sort out a few more gender dex gaps and also stock up on some candy for future evos.

Just in case anyone else is trying to think about saving for Gen 4 evolutions of current pokemon here is how many candy you need to save;

If you care about getting the genders in your dex then you need to double all of these apart from Magnemite and Porygon which are gender neutral.

I wonder if we'll get more frequent spawns of some of those, in particular Tangela & Lickitung? I've only seen/caught 3 and 10 of those, respectively. And I still haven't caught a Misdreavus or Yanma that would be worth evolving.

yeah I hope so Betty but we shall see. I'm ok for Tangela candy thanks to hatches and also there are field tasks around which result in a Tangela encounter but Lickitung are a bit of a mare in terms of trying to get enough candy.

Efferlunt Yes, that glitch usually arises when you go to view your Pokemon in a gym but someone is attacking it.

The animation is the one that surrounds gyms when they’re being battled.

If you close and re-open the game it will be gone

Updates!

• New field research featuring flying and electric Pokemon from 1st May
• Zapdos is the next Pokemon reward at the end of the 7 day streak (so seems the reward Pokemon will change monthly)

• New game update coming, best feature appears to be the ability to put on lucky eggs and star pieces from battle and raid lobbies

Yep, I've experienced that bug. It's actually quite useful if it's a gym you want to defend.

I think I'm good on most of those candies for gen 4... except Rhydon. I blew over 100 candies and 100,000 stardust on powering one up yesterday... but he is my 100% and is now maxed out at CP 3200 I've still got about 70 candies left which I want to keep in stock which was why now felt like a good time. I've also got a well powered up 98% so I'd need a really good IV/ CP to feel tempted to evolve another in a hurry.
