ugh I keep missing out of Ditto. Last night once I was all tucked up in bed three people on my local discord encountered 3 separate ditto.

and this morning I was in an interview for a new job and missed another 2. It's very frustrating!

bettytaghetti Have a look on Facebook to see if there’s a local group Failing that, turn up to a couple of legendary raids and see if anyone arrives, then you can ask to join their group.

Thanks Whattodo. I have tried hanging around when legendary raids are on but no-one else turns up and I just look like I'm loitering with intent! not quite sure what a middle aged mum would be intent on doing!

Is it right if I just try and do a raid it will count for the research project?

I've got to the evolve a magicarp stage. I have enough candy but dd doesn't and I have said I would wait for her!!!!!! AAAAAuuuughhhhhhh, she only has 83 candy!!!

@Eggzandbacon yes. you need to actually 'fail' the raid though, if you quit out it won't work, you can also attempt the same raid multiple times and they will all count.

So for example, find a raid near hatch time, after hatch go straight in. Make one attack on the Raid boss and then exit to the lobby, STAY IN THE RAID LOBBY and wait for the raid timer to run down. then exit gym and repeat.

(this method will only use 1 raid pass and also helps minimise the need for revives/potions)

My Tyranitar was honestly a bit of a wet blanket with iron tail and fire last so I've treated it to the TMs that I've picked up from my quests. Might be useful for more than just sticking in a random gym I don't care about, now.

Eggz you may be able to take on low grade boss Pokemon to win raids. I’ve not found anyone to play with but can usually win raids which are suggested up to nine players. I’m level 29.

Level 1 and 2 raids are easily solo-able. Level 3s are also solo-able for competent high level trainers with a decent squad.

It's going to take ages for me to get Mew, I've only got 68 Flappyfish candy. I'll get there, it'll just take time/.

I have done some easy raids - mostly my trouble is getting out to do them at all!
If it doesn’t rain tomorrow night I might get a chance as long as there is one going on!

@Eggzandbacon that's my trouble too that's why multiple attempts at the same raid can be handy for getting them all/almost all done in one crack.

@DoctorTwo it's going to take me an age too. I'm ok for fish candy but I feel like I'm going to be looking for a ditto forever!

I'm still stuck on the ghost pokemon and the great throws. Luckily found a Ditto yesterday, but this bit is going to take a few days by the look of it, especially if it doesn't stop raining.

I got a ditto today but I’m not on that bit yet! So annoying as it’s the only one I’ve had in ages.

They’ve increased the Ditto and ghost spawn rates so they’re not as rare as before. Ghosts are particularly prevalent between 8pm and 2am.

Level 1 and Level 2 Raids can be soloed, and Level 3 Raids can be soloed if you’re a high level player with a good understanding of what Pokemon you need and what movesets they should have, because if you go in with the right type but poor moveset, you won’t defeat the boss.

PickAChew Bite/Stone Edge is the best moveset for Tyrannitar, and Tyrannitar is one of the best Pokemon out there (it’s God Tier), so unless it’s poor IVs it shouldn’t be a “wet blanket” now you have the right moveset (unless you’re not using it correctly and putting it up against types it is weak to).

Yay! Up feeding the baby, so just completed my first Field Research chain and got my first Moltres :) 88% IVs but only level 15. Still, nice addition to the Dex

@Efferlunt I caught two ditto the morning before I hit this task phase. It's incredibly irritating but hey ho.

In 24 hours I've caught no ditto and a solitary ghost. Probably done the great throws twice over.

It's that curve ball that's going to be the sticking point if I get past this stage. I'm terrible at them.

Go for a walk after dark if you can Pick, that's when we got all our shuppets and ghastlys. I am so frustrated, could evolve my magicarp and progress but promised dd I'd wait for her to catch up. Oh well, great incentive to get out and walk!

After dark walks weren't happening last night. Several hours of stair rods type rain which then turned into snow! Might get chance tonight because today is a proper spring day and you'd never believe the ground was white, first thing.

it's lovely out there today, hope to get out later and have a walk by a river, and catch some 'carp! Wish they increased their spawn rate too!

I'm hoping so but I need to wait for ds1 to get on with his 20 evolutions.

At least I no longer have to catch all the zigzagoon as one obligingly turned out to be a ditto, just now.

PickAChew by the way Shuppets spawn quite a lot first thing in the morning as well as after dark. I caught 4 this morning between 7 and 8:30. and have caught around 3 every morning this week.

I managed to catch 2 ditto this morning too so now I'm just waiting for the last few karp candy to move onto level 7.

Yep, I caught a gastly at breakfast time!
