X box one s setup help please

Okay, console came with minecraft downloaded as part of a bundle. Everything is set up and good, except we cannot access minecraft (we are told on screen to pay for it via the Xbox store). Surely it is free, what does this Luddite need to do?

There should be a card with a code within the instructions

Go to the store tab, there should be a bit which says enter code. Enter said code and download game. Also, dunno about yours but ours came with 3 months free gold and a months game pass, also codes which must be entered.

Sorry should have clarified, these are all physical bits of card, which would have been with the packaging of the console.
