Has everyone checked for ex raid passes? We've just had some sent out here for Saturday, I have one .

Bit of a shock, no-one was expecting them and it's much less notice this time.

Woohoo seeing as the only time I've ever got a Chancey was the last valentines event I'm pretty excited.

What do we think the Valentines event is going to be? Potentially the next (possibly final) wave of Gen 3 'mon being released?

I wouldn’t have thought they’d release more Gen III now as they’ve only just had a release, and they’re promoting the pink Pokemon so I think it’s unlikely.

Just been out and done a double kyogre raid with a lucky egg and managed to level up to 37.

Gen4 looks great. I have been saving piloswine candies since whattodoaboutthis2017 told me to. I will make a list now of the others

Well done for 37 Murinae. I'm now just over halfway through 35 and it feels like a long slog. My second Mewtwo is in the bag thanks to this afternoon's ex-raid, I was down to the last 2 balls so it got a bit tense

I'm guessing that we are going to get lots of pink stuff again for valentine's. We'll be swimming in Luvdisc, which has got to be up there with the most pointless Pokemon ever . I can't think of anything else they might add in, given that we've recently had double XP for the community day and have double stardust coming up for the next one. Reduced egg-distance has to be likely for Easter, so it only really leaves reduced buddy distance.

Or candy.

Have loads of potential evolutions saved up for a lucky egg or two but holding off to find out what the event will involve, first.

I had a half decent weekend, amongst the hatches were 4 newbies, Azurill, Luvdisc, Baltoy and Nosepass, and caught a Lotad, taking me up to 284 on the 'Dex, 47 from the Hoenn region. I've just counted my Hoenn shadows and there are 25!

DoctorTwo well done! I'm still after the two new baby Pokémon. No luck as of yet

Up to 55 in the Hoenn dex. I've got a few evolutions to do, but I'm waiting for enough candies so I can do the whole evolution chain at once (e.g for Slaking, Gardevoir etc).

I'm hoping that the community days aren't replacements for the events we had previously.
I suspect that Valentines will be a double candy event because candy is the closest thing to chocolate.
Still no gen 2 babies for me...

CaeciliusIstInAtrium It doesn’t need to be a legendary raid; any raid on that particular gym during the right timeframe will give out an ex-raid pass whether it’s level one or level five. Congrats

Well our town finally got another ex raid after nearly five months since the first one! However the majority of our group hasn’t gone one, including me, as it’s a gym up a large hill in a very muddy area that few of us ever go to.

Oh look, Niantic is a dick.

They’ve given out raid passes to people who’ve just spun gyms, when you have dedicated players who specifically target gyms and raid every day that don’t receive a pass.

I know they’ve done it because it’s Mewtwo’s Birthday, but that’s fucked up and it’s not acceptable.

Bit late to this achievement but now have my first gold gym

I got one for a gym at the other end of the country that I haven't been anywhere near since July. It's bonkers.

iheartmichellemallon Ex-raids are exclusive raids, which currently only feature Mewtwo.

They feature the best of the best Pokemon. In the games, Mewtwo is an exceptionally rare and powerful Pokemon that’s hard to capture.

The ex-raid system is usually complex; you have to raid at a certain gym (usually in a park) in a certain timeframe to qualify for an ex-raid pass and have a chance of beating and attempting to catch Mewtwo.

Now, however, they’ve decided since it’s Mewtwo’s Birthday they’ll reward people who don’t raid and/or even play the game that often anymore while ignoring dedicated players who raid every day.
