I don't want to sound ungrateful, Mewtwo is VERY EXCITING, but am I the only one kind of hanging out for Gen 3? I just want to do a bit of boring Dex filling.

I'm with you loc. There aren't the numbers round here to raid, I'm more of a lone hunter so gen 3 would be wonderful. I keep walking to raids but no one is there and it's expensive travelling to larger towns and cities.

I don't really want to network and hook up with others as they are mostly kids and it's not what I enjoy about the game. I like to walk and add to my dex.

I'm also eagerly waiting for Gen 3! Are there any rumours as to when this will be released in to the game? I hoped it would be this summer, but with all of the new updates re gyms/raids, and the later it gets, it seems unlikely

Oooooo are there more Evolutions? I'll start saving too! I'm thinking October for Gen 2, shall we have a sweepstake!

Still no legendaries, ds is the raid battler and just can't catch them, I may have to sneak off without him!

When you do raids, you can get extra balls for doing lots of damage. If all your Pokemon faint and you have to rejoin the battle, you don't get any balls for damage, and when you're trying to catch a legendary, all balls count!

I very much doubt they'd be mostly kids. Of the 50+ people in our small towns WhatsApp group, there's only two kids and that's because their parents were into it first and got them into it (and they're both under 10). Majority age is 30.

The game is played by adults because it was brought out when we were kids and we grew up with it.

I hoped it would be this summer

They would never have released Gen 3 this summer; they only released Gen 2 in the Spring and they like to give people lots of time to get everything.

Most likely outcome for Gen 3 is next Spring, then it's been a year and everyone's had ample time. They might release it late autum/winter but I doubt that as people play less in the winter and even a new Gen wouldn't be very tempting when the weathers awful.

They've also said they're 6 months behind from where they wanted to be due to all the problems they faced at the beginning and had to rectify, so in the next 6 months it seems likely we might get PVP or trading.

Oooooo are there more Evolutions

Eevee has lots of evolutions, but there are many other Pokemon that do too that you need to save for.

For Eevee, in Gen 4 we get Leafeon and Glaceon and in Gen 6 we get Sylveon.

Gen 3 doesn't give you any new evolutions for any Gen 1 or Gen 2 Pokemon, but Gen 4 does.

Btw, the reason they're recommending you save candy for Gen 4 evolutions now is because when Gen 4 hits, there will be 493 Pokemon in the game.

So if you're trying to find that last one of any Pokemon, you'll probably come across the other 492 and get frustrated! So make sure you stock up.

What In my small town they are mostly kids.

I am in a group in a larger town up the road that is mixed but here, in my town, it is mostly kids who play.

At the moment, as well as stockpiling candy, I'm also trying to stockpile coins. I got caught out with hardly any when Gen 2 was released and they sold pokemon storage half price, so I want to stock up on storage if they do the same with gen 3. I'm trying to hoy the kids' pokemon into gyms too for coins whenever I see an opportunity.

Strange how the demographic differs. All children here turn up to raids with parents (even the teenagers 😂) Not at all unusual for gran, grandad, mum, dad, baby and toddler to turn up together.

That's what it's like in the town up the road, all sorts of people. Here it's lone teens, one even asked me out

We were doing a raid yesterday when a running club went past. The leader asked if we were speed dating and using our phones to rate each other.

Checking in again. I got fed up for a while raids are annoying rurally. Got all 4 birds now and ganging around to see what happens with mewtwo. Gen 1 and 2 dex completed.

Can you feed berries to gyms which aren't your team? I asked DH to top up my Ursaring which is in the gym next to his work (he can get it from his desk 😁) and he claims that he can't do it because we're not the same team. I'm sure I've done it before?

I still have no legendary birds. There's a really active raiding community here so if I actually get my act together I could definitely do it.

Nope; you can only feed berries to your own team.

Out of curiosity, why did you pick separate teams?

DH and I are also on separate teams as DS's were so we picked a team each to even out with them. Big mistake as only DH and I play now and could do with being on the same team but neither of us will go back to the beginning to swap teams

I've now joined a local Facebook group, lots of regular posts to get raid groups together. Now, how to ditch the kids lol. One of them would come with me and be happy to do raids but he's not a great loser sadly. Anyone caught a whiff of a shiny pickachu yet?
