I think I'll swap destiny and walk for charizard. Can you still get dratinis in eggs? Might just have to keep an eye on raids.

I'm part of the raid chat, but I'm a 10min drive away from the closest gym so it's not that useful.

A chansey popped up at the other end of my city today, I tried to run for it but didn't get there in time.

Raids here seem to be petering off, hardly any legendaries today.

Anyone having problems signing in Today?? Usually the sign (I've found) that a big update is on the way. Mewto maybe?

Mrsmomo Mewtwo won't arrive until after the legendary birds have gone, so the earliest he'd appear is the 1st September.

I bit the bullet yesterday- spent £9.99 on Pokecoins . My coins from gyms are few and far between, as I don't always get a chance to put Pokemon in gyms every day- was earning maybe 200 coins a week maximum. So I splurged have bought 4 egg incubators so have 4 5ks on the go (including unlimited use incubator, that I normally save for 2's but haven't had any of for ages), and my 10km. Might take DS out for a walk later to try and get them started. The rest of the coins I am going to save for things I need (bag and Pokemon storage upgrades), and keep topping up with earnings from gym

There's an ongoing problem with PTC for 90 minutes now. We're all locked out. Was planning meeting up in town for raids, too.

Trainer club, hubby uses gmail he can sign in ok What to do, that happens when I have bother signing in.

BS, thanx hopefully it'll get sorted quickly and you'll get some raids done ;)

It's annoying as I went for a long walk along the river and I wasn't able to play as I walked. My shiney magicarp might have been there waiting for me to catch it.....

I mowed the lawn today, thought as my garden is 15m long and I've had to walk up and down it 20 odd times then I might get some distance registered... nope. Left my wifi on on my phone so not even 10m registered

Shame you didn't get your distance mowing the lawn! Every little bit helps when it comes to eggs, never know what the weather is going to be like.

I just had a bit of a fail too- bought a lucky egg from the store as I had a couple of evolutions I could do, and I was only 10,000XP off Level 27. Did all my evolutions...then realised I forgot to activate the lucky egg I'm now less than 2000XP off with no evolutions left to do! I think tomorrow is my 7 day streak though so should hit first thing tomorrow. What a waste!

I soloed two raids today, both Quilava, beating the first with Omastar and Gary and the second with just Gary. I caught them both too. On the 2nd raid the app chose Omastar and I swapped it for Gary as I saw how quickly he caused damage.

I know it's only a Level 1 raid, but most of the raids here are Level 4 or 5 and I've only met one other player here.

Gyarados' are more powerful and generally have better moves (assuming yours has Hydro Pump?). Omastar is part rock though, which does mean it is doubly resistant to fire attacks.

I would be very cautious about using any Pokemon the app suggests; they rarely get it right. You really need to think about what Pokemon have which moves, if any have the STAB bonus and so on; it's too complex to just go with what the app suggests.

A STAB bonus is a Same Type Attack Bonus, meaning a Pokemon does extra damage if its moves are the same type as its type (for example, a water Pokemon having double water moves will get the STAB bonus, just like a fire Pokemon with double fire).

It gives you a 25% damage increase, so it really does help.
