Still just keeping up the streaks, but yesterday I HATCHED A SNORLAX. That's No2, and I have 40 Snorlax candy.

I get it re grinding up Pikachus, it just feels wrong. I do it though, 'cos I'm heartless.

I got one last lucky egg in and now only 60,000xp away from level 36.

I can't complain too much as I am now half way through 36. 1,000,000 xp over the event is not too bad!

Seeing as I wasn't about and didn't feel like I was playing much the double XP and bonuses still mounted up. I did use a lot of lucky eggs.

I'm now over a third of the way through level 38 and seeing as I dont ever pay for things or use Facebook groups, Discord or scanners etc I think that's high. I got over a million XP over the event. That's a LOT - some people must have got a lot more. My main tactic was pineapp'ing pidgeys low brow . I've also been able to take and retake gyms a lot more since the new gym system. It's so much better. I've THREE gold gyms they on on the other side of the world in very secluded spots e.g. at the end of a trail up the side of a mountain (but with decent 3G👍🏻👍🏻). I got them on my recent business trip. The mon have been in the gyms for 25 days now..... 😎

I've also now gone from having no hope of getting a Blissey to getting a crap Blissey to getting two good and fairly well powered up Blisseys thanks to two lucky eggs. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

No legendaries but I'm cool with that and not bitter at all 😹 🤔

I have two gold gyms, the two I can see from my settee. This is because I've been nipping out to raid there whenever there's something I can take down solo. They are also the two that I walk past at least once a day and they are now dropping a pleasing number of items.

Put in your location and it tells you all about the gyms in your area - whether there is a raid going on there (and if there is, what raid including end time and Pokemon Level), how many Pokemon are in so you know if there's an empty slot, who owns the gym and a gym history too so you can see its turnaround.

It's amazing! Definitely worth checking out if you're in a rural area so you don't have to travel if there's nothing out there.

Lol, I know I'm being a bit daft but I don't use sites like that as it feels like I'm missing the point of the game. It's the getting out and about and stumbling upon random 'mon and an unexpected empty space in a gym that I enjoy.

I not saying I wouldn't use them if I lived somewhere really rural though. .

I use gymhuntr to plan walks I always use it on private browser on safari though because I'm scared of getting banned

gymhuntr sounds useful - not in range of any gyms in my house so never know when there's a raid on.

I take the game very seriously so it's useful to know what raids are happening where, and it also helps get people together on our WhatsApp group so we have enough for raids.

It's also useful for a massive gym takeover so you know which ones to go for and which direction.

I'm going to Vienna in a week, and was panicking cos one of the next legendaries will be released while I'm away. Did you just stumble across your group of 20? Can you recommend places to meet fellow pokemoners? I'm not sure my German is up to making contact online, but maybe there's a fb page?

Been a while since I've been on this chat but have still been Pokémon hunting with the family. I second what everyone is saying about finding a fb group for raids. I found one for my nearest big town (we live in a little village), joined and have managed to get 7 Articunos and 1 Lugia! My DD has 4 Lugia and 2 Articunos and my DS has 2 Lugia and 1 Articuno. We definitely couldn't have done it without the fb group. Try searching Pokémon Go then start inserting names of towns etc near you. There will be groups it just finding them that's tricky.

Oh also found if I do spinny balls it helps my catch rate. I practised on pidgeys etc until I got the hang of it and ok so a few balls go wide but the ones that hit (normal) Pokémon usually stick and definitely helps with the legendary Pokémon.

Last couple of days DH and I have seen like 10 legendary raids in the town near where we live but none of them had a single other player at them today we went out for the day and came home via a big (for us) town, found a huge group of people and both caught our first Articuno!

@BSJohnson we stumbled across it... we thought we'd have a crack at the legendary and hoped one or two people would be there! There was an Austrian girl co-ordinating who set up the group and gave us the code. It was at the Strauss statue in Stadt park

Did anyone else notice that Pikachu was still quite prevalent, today, just without the 'at? I caught 2 and DS1 says he found another one on the way into town that I missed.

So how do you do remote berry feeding, then? The pikachav I put in a gym on a drive by (I didn't have my pokemon ordered by CP at the time) is at less than full motivation but I can't see how to fix it.

Worked it out! Pokemon in bag > go to gym!
