My knowledge of which types and moves are good or weak against others comes from playing all the original Pokemon games on the gameboy as a child!

I am out of my gym and no coins today.

Is anyone else finding that they can't get into Pokemon Go?

I have been in since 5.30.

I want to be in. I keep not being able to get in and have missed catching alot of fire Pokemon as a result. Also my eggs should have hatched 2 days ago if it wouldn't stop freezing or not letting me log in.

I'm still logged in from last night, but my Pokemon have all come home! Thankfully they dont need reviving.

I'm jealous. I've been trying for an hour to get in. I've even restarted the phone and reinstalled Pokémon Go out of desperation. Unfortunately I work and it tends not to like logging in until the last 5 mins of lunchtime.

It looks like maybe you can select a proper team in the new gyms, instead of having to select pokes each time you battle.

Predictably, nothing new in the village, but there's nothing on ingress, either.

My stash of gym coins has been slashed! Not only do I not have any to cash in today but the credit on the account has dropped by a hundred or three???

From what I understand, the gyms are not very cooperative in the most part. I mean, I think they will work much as before except with only one type of Pokémon allowed in each, and only 6 Pokémon in one gym (hence the need for increasing the number of gyms overall). I don't think you'll have to take a gym down together. The only team aspect I can see if feeding other people's Pokémon if they need it.

The raid aspect is cooperative - you kind of have to be there alongside other trainers. Does it look to anyone else from the screenshots that you (or rather your phone) will have to detect other people close by ? It says something like 'find other players' so that could be good against spoofers. It looks to be cross-team too. No idea how often a raid will happen, but if you don't want to stand about with other players, it seems very avoidable - just don't go on raids. You'll still be able to do normal gym stuff.

Raid rewards seem to be just evolved forms of Pokémon, with a difficulty level, rather than legendaries, which is a bit disappointing! Or maybe they will throw a legendary in the mix now and then.

Still can't get in

How does Ingress work? Can I submit a request for a pokestop or a gym? There are no stops or gyms at all from where I live to several miles to the North or East (and only water to the West). I'd love to have a stop that doesn't require getting into the car or walking for two miles. I don't mind that in summer but in the middle of a Scottish West coast winter that can be quite miserable.
I'm at work so can't really go to the page and look for it.

Why are my Pokémon suddenly super sized?!

They're just messing around with the code to try and get things how they want them, hence a lot of people not being able to get in and super sized Pokemon etc.

It's nothing to be concerned about; we know they're tampering.

I wish they would stop messing arounf and fix the log ih problem.

Chill out, they only started messing around last night. If you hadn't been able to log on for days or a week even, fair enough, but they're working on improving the game.

Any particular reason why they have to do it in the last 24 hours of an event?

I don't work for them, so no, I don't know their reasons. But they obviously have them.

Not really. Due to it crashing, not letting me log in and work, I've haven't managed to catch very much this week. When you go walking for over an hour and get less than 5 mins gameplay, it doesn't give you time to get everything you need.

I dont mind my Blissey coming home. She has been in a gym for weeks and now i can power her up with candies i got for hatching a chansey.

I still can't even log in. I do hope that they extend the event and not make us loose the pokestop/catching bonuses due to it not being out fault for not being able to log in.

Yes I am feeling very bitter. I've seen nothing rare in this event and not had enough Charmanders/Cydniquils turn up to get near a third stage evolution and can only evolve a houndour due to the candy doubling berries.
