What extra pokestops?

What are all the extra poke stops for?

There are no extra pokestops round my way

They are everywhere. No idea what they are all for.

FreeNiki Strange. Must be a glitch as everything is the same where I am.

I did some research on the side and discovered that they are a reward as Londoners have caught the most pokemon on a global scale since the game was launched.

If you're not in London that's why you cant see them.

I found one of these on holiday last week. It was difficult to spot on the screen.

TheaDecker Lucky! I've yet to even see one.

All I get near home are vermin so this makes up for it a bit. Also got a few Houndours and Shuckles.

Houndours are very rare too, and if they are double dark when evolved into Houndoom, they're the most powerful dark Pokemon there is.

I don't think they are double dark (they are all the same). I caught 4 and kept the best 3. They appeared in the same place over several days so must have been a nest.

I'm hoping for houndours in the fire and ice event. I've caught two, one in the arse end of nowhere and one near a church.

How fab to get an unown, well spotted! The name makes my head hurt a bit :)

How long are there going to be extra pokestops in London?

TheaDecker It doesn't matter what moves a Houndoor has, as when it evolves into Houndoom they will change anyway. So you'll only know if it will be epic when you evolve

If they are all weak CP, it will have been a nest. If not, just a coincidence. You never get high CP Pokemon from nests unfortunately!

Whattodo - my highest Houndour cp is only 195. I have 19 candy so a while to go yet before evolving.

Currently have a Porygon buddy with quite a few more candy to get yet. Maybe Houndour next then!

1/4 of the way through level 31, think I just need a lapras to complete the first collection (minus regionals). Although are there mews and mewtwos? - I'm guessing that's what 144-146 are.

Hopefully the 10k egg I'm walking is my lapras and not another sudowoodo...

The only interesting 'mon I've seen over the last week or so are the Squirtle and Skiploom I caught earlier today. Roll on the event is all I can say.

Nope. Mew and Mewtwo are numbers 151 and 150 respectively, and they aren't in the game yet.

Numbers 144 - 146 are Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres (Gen 1's legendary Pokemon), and they aren't in the game yet either.

Rumours are that at least one of those three legendaries will be released this summer, but it'll be a special event with a lot of planning having gone into it.

Thanks whattodo. :). So, just need the lapras and that's the first lot of mon complete. He wasn't in my 10k egg, but it was a dratini with a loaf of useful balls to power up the Dragonite. Maybe one will pop up in the event.

How many of you have completed your gen one dex? I feel like theres loads of fairly basic Pokemon that I haven't got.

They're just the ones I can remember. I still need loads, but they're the ones everyone else seems to have

Maybe they're just really rare spawns around where I live. I know some of those are fairly rare, but I'm level 22, so thought I would have at least seen some of them, if not caught or hatched from an egg.

Has anyone got any advice or ideas as to build up my pokedex?

I'm level 29 and still have quite a few left to get cottonwool and I work in London a lot which should make it easier for me but I'm still a bit rubbish at the game!
If it's one I need then the pineapple berry is really useful. Also not sure where you live but our local Facebook group will list nests.

Charizard (hope to get that this event)
Alakazam
Flareon (have enough candy but waiting for a decent Eevee )

cottonwool125 The only advice is to get out there and play a lot! The more you play the more chance you have of seeing different Pokemon and hatching them too. Varying areas, even by the next town over, really helps too.

I'm Level 27 and I have 20 in Gen 1 left. The majority of them are evolutions whereby I haven't seen enough of the first form to get candy for the second and/or third forms.

I'm hoping the upcoming fire event will rectify this for Charmelon, Charizard and Magmar.

There are only four I actually need to catch or hatch: Snorlax, Porygon, Scyther and Duduo.

The rest I can walk if I have to, but it will be a long way!

Thank you for the advice about the Facebook groups! I will definitely have a look and see if there are any local groups. My nearest city is Norwich in case anyone else on here is from around that way and knows of anywhere I should be heading

Yes I would love a charizard. Typically, I have been walking my Charmander for weeks now, hoping to build up my candies. Then they go and announced the fire event! Feels like a bit of a waste now. Ah well

Of your list, the only one I have is a Doduo, only ever hatched the one from an egg so a long way off from the evolution (can't remember the name!)

Yes the upcoming event should be great. Would love to get an Archanine, a Typhlosion and of course a Houndoom! I have a few Cyndaquill candies stored up, so hopefully along with some pinap berries, it shouldn't take too long.
