It looked like a new thread was needed, so here it is, all shiny and pristine.

Haha I did that too...walked Charmander for ages. Did the same with Bulbasaur right before the grass event Grin

Parks are good. Many parks will have a nest of a certain pokemon and that changes every 2 weeks I think. If you get lucky with one you need you can pick up loads that way.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 11/06/2017 20:32

cottonwool125 Yeah, during the events especially we like to get out to a different town just to shake things up a bit!

MuddlingMackem · 11/06/2017 20:36

@cottonwool125, if you're on facebook look for a local Pokemon Go group, members should be able to tell you where are good places for catching most of those.

I'm still only missing Tangela from Gen 1, and of Gen 2 Unown is the only one I can't get from what I have. I'm still missing four others from the dex, but I have the means to evolve all of those, just need to walk hundreds of km for candy. Grin

jennielou75 · 11/06/2017 20:36

I am on level 35 now. Will maybe buy more lucky eggs as really use them with so much xp to get! I am walking my snorlax so I can increase them as much as possible. These top levels are a bit boring!

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 11/06/2017 20:41

See I never buy lucky eggs; I just don't think they're worth it. Still, we've each got to get what works for us!

NormaSnickers · 11/06/2017 20:42

Hi, I'm a lurker on this thread but just wanted to say to cottonwool125 that Norwich is my nearest city too and there is a nest in Castle Gardens, just by the top of Castle Mall. I found it thanks to this thread when someone mentioned the Silph Road Atlas, went there a couple of weeks ago and was able to add Wobuffet to my 'dex. I think the nest is currently Zubat as there were loads in the vicinity last week when I popped along there. Hope that helps - will slink back into lurkdom now!

Soubriquet · 11/06/2017 20:47

My missing gen 1:-

Blastoise
Charizard
Arbok
Clefable
Dugtrio
Primeape
Arcaine
Alakazam
Machamp
Rapidash
Farfetch'd
Dodrio
Muk
Marrowack
Hitmonlee
Hitmonchan
Kangaskhan
Scyther
Pinsir
Gyrados
Dragonite

Got everything else...

List was slightly longer than have I thought

cottonwool125 · 11/06/2017 20:59

NormaSnickers hello fellow Norfolk dweller Grin amazing, thank you for telling me that! I'm planning on walking in to the city after work on Tuesday so I'll take that route. Could do with some Zubat candies to get a Crobat so every bit helps Smile

Soubriquet hopefully with the event you'll be able to tick Rapidash, Arcanine and Charizard off the list! Smile

Soubriquet · 11/06/2017 21:01

I'm hoping so yes.

jennielou75 · 11/06/2017 21:06

I buy lucky eggs because I need to do mass evolves at double score to get my xp. I need 1,500,000 for level 35 which would take ages as I average 25,000 a day but sometimes less.

TheaDecker · 11/06/2017 21:16

I think I only have to get Dragonite from Gen 1 (excluding the regionals & those not available of course).
I have had some luck along the way. Got a Lapras v early on, caught a Venusaur in a park & a Snorlax right outside my house! Also I got lots of unusual ones early on in a seaside town, helped by the fact there was a poke stop in the holiday cottage, so never ran out of pokeballs.
Got 41 Dratini candy, so a bit of a way to go yet.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 11/06/2017 21:25

Here's my full list of 20 that I need (excluding regionals and legendaries):

• Charmeleon
• Charizard
• Raichu
• Sandslash
• Clefable
• Ninetales
• Gloom
• Vileplume
• Weepinbell
• Victreebell
• Duduo
• Dodrio
• Muk
• Exeggutor

  • Hitmonchan • Scyther • Magmar • Porygon
  • Snorlax • Dragonite

Like I say, most are evolutions that I can walk if I have to.

Soubriquet · 11/06/2017 21:30

Keep hatching those 2km eggs what

I've gotten a few charmanders from them.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 11/06/2017 21:32

Soubriquet Yeah, the only Charmander I've ever had is from an egg. Only thing is, I tend to get about seven 5ks and a couple of 10ks. Very rarely get 2ks!

But I'm not too worried about getting Charmeleon and Charizard now as I'm hoping the fire event will sort that out for me Smile I've got 44 pinap berries saved just for that reason!

CrazedZombie · 12/06/2017 07:47

WhatToDo- hopefully there will be lots of Charmanders in this event.

Do you belong to a Pokémon Go FB group for your area? Mine lists the nests which helps a lot.

Soubriquet · 12/06/2017 10:36

Got my rapidash Grin

Hatched a pontya from a 5km egg with loads of extra candy

MooseyMoo · 12/06/2017 11:04

Flippin Sudowoodo from a 10k egg again Angry

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 12/06/2017 11:06

CrazedZombie Hope so! I live in a small town and there's no FB for it or the general area. There are also no nests in my town either!

That's great, Soubriquet!

Kpo58 · 12/06/2017 19:20

I hope that the event won't be as disappointing as the grass and water ones. I didn't find any gen 2 starters in them.

I can almost evolve my togepi. Just need 3 more candies. :D

jennielou75 · 12/06/2017 21:15

I so hope something can be done with murkrows. I have over 1000 candy now from them.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 12/06/2017 21:29

I hope that the event won't be as disappointing as the grass and water ones. I didn't find any gen 2 starters in them.

I didn't find them disappointing at all; I got my Meganium, Bulbasaur and Blastoise from all the Gen 1 or Gen 2 starters in them.

However, you won't have found any Gen 3 starters in the water event because that was before Gen 2 even came out.

I so hope something can be done with murkrows. I have over 1000 candy now from them.

They evolve into Honchkrow in Gen 4.

cottonwool125 · 12/06/2017 22:07

I know this has probably already been posted on this thread, but does anyone know what time the event launches in the U.K. tomorrow? Smile

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 12/06/2017 22:08

cottonwool125 The events usually tend to start at 9pm Smile

cottonwool125 · 12/06/2017 22:10

WhatToDo thank you Smile that's a shame. Was hoping to pop out on my lunch break tomorrow and see how many fire type Pokemon were around!

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 12/06/2017 22:13

cottonwool125 No worries Smile It is annoying, but at the same time, I do like it when they last until 9pm on the last day of the event though!
