It looked like a new thread was needed, so here it is, all shiny and pristine.

I've just evolved Steelix so now up to 201 on the pokedex.

I heard that for the first hour of the event there were lots of Lavitar then niantic realised and made them appear less. The same happened in the water event when Dratini was accidentally included at the start. I think for the next event I'll be ready to run out my front door at the start!

I only do occasional gyms as it's quite difficult to get in any or take one down playing alone. Get some coins from opinion awards also.
I mainly spend coins on bag and pokemon space. I've had a run of useless egg hatches so haven't bothered with extra incubators for a while

Please someone tell me how these opinion rewards work

It's Google Rewards. You get around 10p for each survey then you can spend the money on Google play.

So many slugmas everywhere! Lots of geodudes and one or two onix each day if I'm watchful. At one point I was in five gyms today but hopefully will hold the four I'm in overnight so I can collect coins in the morning. Going to try to hold out to the end of the week and do a lucky egg evolve. Darn having to go to work!

I'm walking my magikarp....one candy every 0.25..I don't have a gyrados yet so this is my chance

I managed to get into a gym that I've stayed in for almost a week now, its amazing (I'm Blue but Red rules this town)

We're still in a gym we walked ino last Saturday, after the spoofers were kicked out. Also one we trained up on Wednesday. We've been kicked out of the two we got into, today.

Noticed that the "LEVEL 40" players are out of the Gateshead gyms, now.

Soubriquet I walked a magikarp to get my first gyrados. It wasn't too bad as it's only 1km per candy. But annoying to see the flappy fish flapping every time.

It really is..... can't wait to change him

I live in a water area where magikarp are really common so it didn't take too long for me to get a Gyarados. All the magikarp I've got since have been spent on powering him up because he's awesome

Until today he was my highest CP Pokemon; now it's Rhydon.

If you don't gym, what do you do about incubators?

I'm often in a good few gyms but I still don't buy many incubators as it always seems such a waste of pokecoins. I've maxed out my storage now and have over 50 lucky eggs in store. I'm saving up but I'm not sure what for 😂

My tip for staying in gyms is to aimlessly drive around the countryside until you find a big friendly gym. It's worth the effort of powering it up as you can then, hopefully, stay there a long time. I've been in three gyms since last October. They are in small hamlets and are level ten.

Ahh okay. I buy incubators every 150 coins which is every few days. I like to walk a lot of eggs! So incubators aren't a waste for me.

I just don't need any more storage or any more lucky eggs.

(Sorry to derail, but quick question, can you do google opinion rewards if you have an iPhone?)

I'm hoping for an Aerodactyl and Larvitar (I need 99 candies to evolve). I haven't seen either.

I have got a Magcargo and enough candies to evolve Onix and Abra. I'm now working on Grimer. Loving the candies!

I walk (and bike ride) flipping miles everyday but I can't remember the last time I got anything decent out of an egg. I've had nothing but rubbish out of and 10km eggs for months. 😪😪😪😡😡😡.

I caught a lapras in the wild today but it was only 200 odd CP. it was fun hunting it down though.

Yeah, I've had tons of gligars out of 10km eggs, but the times I get something exciting, like a chansey or a larvitar or a dratini, definitely make up for all the shit eggs so I reckon it's worth it.

All my eggs are 5km at the moment so I'm hoping for a girafarigg.

I've had the gligars and pinecos recently. At least pineco can evolve, but still not into a useable pokemon. Gligar is pointless.

I think a big weakness of the game is that there's a cluster of elite high CP pokemon and so many that have little value after evolution. Not so bad if they're rare and novel. Blooming annoying when it's a waste of a 10k egg! Murcro annoys me as it's neither evolvable, nor easy to catch. I'll grant pidgey that it's great for XP farming.

i got a gligar out my last 10k egg. I am on 2k eggs at the minute hoping to pick something good up out of an egg on this event.

Mucro's are on my list of things I don't bother to catch, as well as Mr Mime.

Missed an areodactyl because I was sat about in my PJs - so near too

I'm still catching Mucrows because I want my Dark medal and am nearly there. Once I've got it I'll ignore those goady crows

We caught an Aerodactyl! Soooo happy! 210 on pokedex now.

We caught a larvitar a few days ago, hoeing for one or two more before the event ends.

I'll grant pidgey that it's great for XP farming.

I use pineapps on pidgeys . Gotta love that XP!

Caught a Larvitar this morning so up to 29 candy, miles to go. Going for a walk today, got a 10k egg to hatch that I got from the pokestop the Larvitar was at, hoping it will be a Larvitar too is wishful thinking right...

Gligar evolves into Gliscor, but that won't be available till Gen 4. It won't be entirely useless; the candy will come in handy eventually, just long term.

It's the same with Murkrow; it evolves into Honchkrow in Gen 4.

So these Pokemon you think are useless, won't be in the long run

Hatched 2 sodding Gligars out of my last 10k eggs, nice to know thwy will one day have a purpose. Evolved Togepi last night, they are gorgeous when evolved. Walking Chancey now, need 21 candies to evolve.

PokemonGo I use the pineapps on the evolved pidgey versions, get stacks of candy that way.
