It looked like a new thread was needed, so here it is, all shiny and pristine.

I don't know why Slugma are everywhere because they are fire not rock but I don't care. Had 21 candy when the event started, up to 123 now and can see 3 on nearby.

Ds helped me evolve slugma and ryhorn and caught me a shuckle which was a new one on the way home from school. Well on the way to evolving kabuto and omanyte too. Always running out of balls now as we get spawns at home but it's a way to a pokestop.

There's a shuckle over the road but baby is in her pjs 😒 dammit! Never seen one before 😔

Before today I had seen 2 Kabuto. I caught 7 in 2 hours. I also caught 7 Slugma, 5 Geodudes, 4 Omanytes and 6 Rhyhorns.

Went to bed last night with Machop on 100 Candies, when I logged in there were 104, now up to 110.

Aerodactyl! I'm stuck in with dc's but I want it so bad! Never caught one in the wild before.

I have a shuckle invasion. Never even seen a shadow of one before but had three in the house in the past hour.

@TrashPanda the evolved slugma is a fire and rock pokemon.

Been out and evolved a kabutops, caught a girafig and one candy away from omastar. I can evolve onix but my best one is 500cp and I'm sure they must get better than that. No sign of aerodactyl or larvitar yet.

Shuckle's annoy me- not only do they not evolve, they are also weak and useless.

I know Magcargo is rock and fire, but Kabuto is water and rock and wasn't in the water event. Not sure how they decide but it doesn't really matter. Evolved a Magcargo to get it in the Pokedex and at the end of the event we'll do another if we get a better Slugma. Only need Larvitar/Pupitar/Tyranitar from the event now but wouldn't say no to Aerodactyl. Hopefully be able to walk my Dratini most of the way up to Dragonite while it's only 1.25km.

Just had an onix in my room but it fled! I was greedy and tried to use a pinapberry 🍍

Evolved my spinarak, evolved eevee, aerodactyl, magcaro, slugma.. chuffed to bits oh and a Taurus!! (Not over here though)

I like this event! Always like it when buddy walking distances are decreased. Am walking snorlax at the moment with the aim of powering my best one up. Somewhat I am tempted to swap to porygon too as like you have only ever seen 2. Although I think I am going to do pineco next as I hatched a 100IV one but only have 35 candies. One mouse I live in hope of hatching a Tangela too - the only Gen 1 that I have needed for months and months. Unfortunately I have now hatched all my eggs from the event he was in (except two ten kms I am holding on to). We were lucky with weather here yesterday so walked in to town and caught loads of slugma and geodudes. Pleased about slugma as I had hardly seen him before the event, only had 1. Also got lots of Rhydon and Omanytes which makes a nice change. And got my first 3 larvitar and a 'baby' aerodactyl (only CP171) but don't mind as I have 4 already!

Whoever was asking about Onix. My highest CP one is 543. I have enough candies to evolve him too but likewise am holding out until end of event to see if I can get a better one.

These are my Onix. So I'd hold out for a higher CP.

Loving the event too. I've evolved Golem and Kabutops which are both new to the dex for me. And the Slugma evolution also new pokedex.

I'm hoping for the last few Onix candy I need to evolve. I hatched a wonder Onix probably last year but have been walking other things.

I still need Aerodactyl. It's the one pokemon that seems to be avoiding me throughout the game!

Cracking event! we've been for one long walk and we are off out again later. I evolved my Sluma, finally got my Dragnonite which completes gen 1, and evolved Teddiursa. We're walking Togepi then will switch to our Chancey.

Lovely getting that one more item out of the stops and the reduced walking distance makes evolutions possible.

I'm holding on to do a mass evolution at the end of the event when I can pick the strongest ones. I'm light on vermin anyway as I recently did a mass evolution and haven't caught much since.

I'm definitely needing the extra items at pokestops, some of these rock types are ball/ raspberry hungry!

Need to persuade DD to come out for a walk in the forest with me when her friend goes home so I can walk my machoke and use an incense to see if it brings up moar rock types. I still don't have an Onyx!

I can never wait to evolve, I always do new 'mon on the spot. I do hoard vermin for double xp events though, got 5 lucky eggs out of the last event.

Gutted last night - Aerodactyl at our nearest Pokestop (which is up a BIG hill) at 11.00 and by the time I got there with mine and DS's phones it had fled.
