T'other thread was getting full and there's shinies and stuff!

No shinies here but finally got a special item so soon I can evolve Slowking (just need a few more candy from walking)

The water festival directly contributed to my Blastoise, Omastar and Totodile and has given me enough candy for a second Gyarados, which is most welcome.

With the exception of the evolved forms of Totodile, Pokémon needing special evolutionary items, and of Kabutops I have all the water types.

I've also got tons of electric/rock/fairy types thanks to Chinchou, Marill and Omanyte, so my badges are looking a bit healthier too!

Gen 1 dex is up to 124, gen 2 is up to 58. I am pretty happy about that!

I am guessing Easter will bring some kind of egg event (half distances, maybe?) and then I hope they have more of these 'type' events. I could imagine a fire v ice event or something, or fairy v dark.

I didn't even notice there was some kind of water festival going on, just thought 'oh, there's a bit more magikarp than usual, did they change the spawns?'

Glad shinys are still out there for the catchin'

I saw more Ratattas, Pidgeys and Spearows today than I did for the entire event. I went back to where I saw Totodile and got 3 more Pikachu (one ran away), they spawned in pairs so I may have inadvertantly stumbled on a nest.

Spawn rates are down massively even on pre-event standards. Roll on the next event.

I got enough candy for Croconaw and Feraligatr during the event and enough candy for Gyrados, no shiny Magikarp though. Up to 198 caught now, only 10 more to complete gen 1 but never seen so much as a shadow of Scyther or Aerodactyl.

I caught a wild scyther today. Found a nest of them.

Think I may die of old age before I get a Snorlax. Only have 3 gen 1 left to get, also need an Alakazam and a Wheezing, have all the others but never see any Koffings and am sick to death of hatching Pineco.

Hatched a Cleffa today. Still no Shiney Magikarp either.

Any news on an Easter event yet? I'm presuming something to do with eggs!

Hatched another pinecone and another purple wasp thingy, third one. Finally getting 10k eggs locally but seem to be full of the same thing.

I'm having really bad luck with 10k eggs recently. Haven't hatched anything but Pinecos and Gligars since gen 2 came out, and now I can't seem to find any at all Finally managed to hatch an Igglybuff from a 2k though, so now my Pokedex is up to 214 caught and 219 seen.

I am really envious of those of you who got Totodiles during the water festival! There were hardly any round here - loads of Squirtles instead. I'll just have to keep walking mine...

Are Snorlaxes ever seen in the wild? I've seen a shadow once but it was in a remote spot and I was going past on a bus.

I think there's the odd Snorlax about but very rare.
I think Japan had a Snorlax event with increased amounts. Or perhaps it was Lapras. That's a long way to go though!

We hatched a snorlax from a 10k egg & then caught 2 in the wild (one had a decent cp & 1 rubbish) near us but that was a while ago now.

I've caught a wild one, but it was rubbish!

I'm not too fussed about how good it is, I just want one!

We caught a Gyrados in the wild which was fantastic, only wild one I've ever seen though.

I still want to know if you can find Shineys now the event has finished...

Caught a wild Snorlax today on my phone and DD's. First I've ever seen except in gyms. I pulled over at a stop by a church to spin, saw the silhouette on 'nearby' and was frantically trying to figure out what stop it was at, and would I get there before it disappeared, and did I have time because I was on a tight schedule, but SNORLAX right?

Then I realised that the church in the little picture of the stop was the church I was parked at... clicked back to the map and there is a MASSIVE HUMUNGOUS SNORLAX nose to nose with my avatar.

The big fat darling stepped meekly into my ultraballs and was borne home in triumph to DD. I've had my first Gyradios, Dragonite and Snorlax within a week. Already have two Lapras's (Lapri?) one caught, one hatched. Never a sniff of a Larvitar, or a shiney, and loads of gaps in the dex, so still loads to do.

Can't wait for more shineys to be released, google 'shiney Eevee' and 'shiney Ponyta', they are gorgeous.

Shiny magikarp can still be caught. Good luck Porygon
