After a few rubbish pokemon days where I missed my streak due to being a bit poorly I stepped out of work and there was a shadow Shock
So I now have my very first Snorlax. A totally rubbish Snorlax but I luvs him.

DameDeDoubtance · 04/04/2017 20:06

That's wonderful Abbey! Was he a bugger to catch?

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 04/04/2017 20:12

Just one ball! He's 237 CP though so unlikely to ever be powered up but I'm happy for my pokedex.
Especially as my 10k eggs have mostly been mantine and that pinecone lately.

FreeNiki · 04/04/2017 22:12

I found this on a website about cheating distances:

"Spin Pokestop
Open Pokemon Journal.
Ride bike down hill super fast!
Stop bike at another Pokestop without crashing.
Close Pokemon Journal.
Spin Pokestop.
Attain distance.

To attain extra-long distances in a vehicle, or going down a hill (with full protective gear on) at high speed, begin by spinning a Pokestop. Once the stop is spun, open up the Pokemon Trainer Journal. Move a decent distance at considerable speed, stop for a moment, close the Pokemon Trainer Journal, and spin another Pokestop. Distance will be recorded between the stops without penalty."

I wonder if that works.

It's all about the pokedex Abbey! Who is to say which Snorlax are the worthiest. Your Snorlax may be great at knitting, or surfing!

DoctorTwo · 05/04/2017 02:47

Yesterday one of my 10k eggs hatched a Dratini which brought about 45 candies with it, meaning I can now upgrade my Dragonaire to Dragonite. The Pikachu nest is still there, got another two of the little rascals. I've now walked 75km with Charmander and only need 16 candies for Charizard. Only another 48km to go...

DameDeDoubtance · 05/04/2017 07:40

I'm walking my Kabuto. I saw one yesterday, gave it the extra candy fruit, then it poofed so that's another 30 k to walk! I am still in a gym, rarely hold them overnight! It's all yellow but I've taken one down and popped my Golem in.

I have three 10k eggs cooking, no doubt stuffed with pinecones and gligars but there is always hope with a 10k that a msall Snorlax is snuggled up inside.

I've used my Forretress in battle and they are pretty good, if I do get some more pinecones at least they evolve to something decent.

PossumInAPearTree · 05/04/2017 07:42

I'm about 5 candies away from a Machamp which will be good for taking out Blisseys.

Dillite2 · 05/04/2017 07:53

I still don't have a kabuto! I have only ever seen 1 and it poofed.

Igneococcus · 05/04/2017 09:29

I hatched another pineco from a 10k egg, third one in a row, at least I have enough candy to evolve it now.
I still have never ever seen an aerodactyl.

TrashPanda · 05/04/2017 17:26

My phone is in for repair so I have no Pokemon Go Sad using the time wisely though and joined the Regional Hunter group on Facebook. I'm now the proud owner of 2 Corsola, 2 Hercross, 3 Kangaskhan, a Farfetch'd and a Tauros. They also got me a bonus Scyther and Sunkern which were new. I think that will put me up to 206 in the Pokedex. They were so lovely and easy to work with too.

FreeNiki · 05/04/2017 18:17

Not a bad day.

I'm having a quiet phase. DS1 is still in school, but DS2 is off nursery so my walking is limited, particularly as he's not a fan of the woods where the main cluster of pokestops is. I'm maintaining my streaks, but the egg hatching has slowed down.

DoctorTwo · 05/04/2017 18:27

That tip didn't work for me FreeNiki. I'll give it another go though in case I drove too far (approx 3km).

This afternoon I was walking up the street checking nearby sightings, and it was just the usual vermin. My phone vibrated so I closed sightings and there, right in front of me, was a Totodile. I fed it a Razz Berry and chucked an Ultra Ball at it. Unlike last time, when it got out and fucked off, this one settled first ball. Hurrah! Now up to 183 on the Pokedex.

FreeNiki · 05/04/2017 18:48

With the Pokemon hunter group....if your account in linked to google did you feel comfortable giving them password access to your entire google account?

TrashPanda · 05/04/2017 19:00

I use my Google account to log in and I was happy to give it to them. They are vetted by the group to some extent and there are huge amounts of happy people on there. To be honest though, I only use my gmail address for MN and special offers. Anything important, school stuff, car insurance, work etc, I use a different account for. Also as my phone is being repaired it has been removed from my Google account at the moment. I changed my password before I gave it to them and I'm just about to change it again. The guy who was catching Kangaskhan for me was hunting for 12 accounts at the same time. I can't imagine they are that bothered about looking through your stuff when they have so many to catch.

DameDeDoubtance · 05/04/2017 20:30

Look at all those Scythers!!! Shock

What is this regional hunter group of which you speak? Does it feel the same if you don't catch it yourself?

I levelled up to 31 today, without using a lucky egg at all.

Caught a Shuckle which is new to me, drove my daughter mad singing Everyday I'm Shukling...

FreeNiki · 05/04/2017 20:51

its just access to emails that i dont like.

and even though vetted if they ever did anything you voluntarily gave them access to personal information.

FreeNiki · 05/04/2017 20:51

so no sanction against them

TrashPanda · 06/04/2017 08:09

It's not for everybody, I agree. I use my gmail for very little and nothing sensitive so it didn't bother me so much. If I used it for everything, bills, school, online shopping, online banking then I would have been more reluctant to be honest. I joined the group and just watched for a couple of months before I went for it. In that time I saw one issue which was someone giving an unvetted hunter their details. There are clear lists of vetted hunters and i've never seen a problem with any one of them.

WRT not getting them myself, I have no chance of going to Australia, Asia, North and South America any time soon. I may have been able to get Corsola in Tenerife but not going there for a few years. I like getting them all but I was never going to get these anyway so it's a bonus for me really.

I originally saw the group recommended on the last thread here I think. They are called Pokemon Go Regional Hunters

w33zles · 06/04/2017 08:33

I joined the regionals Facebook group, but then left it as I just couldn't face it. Especially as I use my Gmail for everything.

I'm proud of my 188 pokedex

Soubriquet · 06/04/2017 09:09

That looks interesting. Don't know if I've got the guts to hand my account over to someone though..

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 06/04/2017 09:13

Got enough candy for a Macargo and a Kingdra now! Just waiting for dd1 to come home from school :)

So jealous of the Snorlax and of all the Scythers!

Next up for a walk here is Ponyta. Dd2 will be happy.

chopchopchop · 06/04/2017 10:30

Yay, hatched a Snorlax today, which makes up for the fact that I haven't seen anything interesting for days!

spiderlight · 06/04/2017 10:59

I am one Magikarp (if I remember to pinap it) away from a Gyrados. I live right by a river. I have not seen a single Magikarp since the water event ended. Sooooo frustrated! Am walking one as a buddy but that's going to take days.
