Pokemon Go #6: Where pokemon babies are abandoned in gyms at freezing temperatures

Well, saw this little one left overnight in a gym. Sad, really... Where are his parents? What were they thinking? Do they work night shifts too?

So many questions...

MM It won't be level based but there is some speculation that it's pokestop based. Are you both using the same ones? If you have different routes to work or other stuff it could be that. Or he might not be clearing out his pre baby eggs as fast as you?

MuddlingMackem · 02/01/2017 01:25

Hmm, it's mostly been the same pokestops as it's been over the holidays so we've generally been out together for at least half the time. Must be the other half time when he hasn't been with me when I've been getting them. Who knows!

LongtimeLurkerNowPokemonHunter · 02/01/2017 06:48

I'm getting such a skewed percentage of the babies.

What distance egg have your Pichus come out of please Lurker? And indeed your Magby?

jennielou75 · 02/01/2017 09:03

My pichus and magby came out of 5k eggs I think. My elekid came out of a 10k egg yesterday.
What are people doing with santachus? Is it worth keeping them?

DameDeDoubtance · 02/01/2017 09:32

I've evolved 3 Christmas Raichus and kept a handful of pikachus, but I'm heartless! Grin

Off to stock up on balls today, the library in the next town has 4 stops in reach and a very comfy sofa, sweet!!

IhatchedaSnorlax · 02/01/2017 09:57

Now you're just showing off Lurker Grin

HRHlikeahornyponywould · 02/01/2017 10:20

I'm just happy that I caught a bulbasaur yesterday!

Dillite2 · 02/01/2017 10:44

We went for a walk yesterday to a nearby town. Even though 99% of the shops were closed, the high street was very busy full of people catching pokemon. We also caught loads of charmanders, pikachus and bulbasaurs. It was fantastic. There were also lures everywhere. We will be going again today- good thing it's sunny and not raining!

Dillite2 · 02/01/2017 10:45

Lurker that's just unfair!

LongtimeLurkerNowPokemonHunter · 02/01/2017 13:06

Sorry guys.

Pichu were all 5k

Magby and elekid 10k

Igglybuff 2k.

I'm jealous of the togepi I've seen on here!

loc · 02/01/2017 13:08

Congratulations to those with babies, commiserations to those still searching! Looking at my pokedex there are still a few spaces, some I'm not surprised about (lapras and porygon) others I can get by buddying, but what about Grimer? Do they actually exist in the wild, or am I more likely to get from an egg? Apart from 3 Christmas babies (yay) I am getting the same old rubbish in my eggs.

jennielou75 · 02/01/2017 13:25

I have 3 togepi and nothing to do with them. I have 4 pichus too. It seems wrong to send the babies back!

TheOtherGalen · 02/01/2017 13:48

loc I have caught a Grimer in the wild, so they do exist. I also got one from an egg, though I don't remember what denomination.

NameSux · 02/01/2017 13:51

Loc I've caught two grime in the wild. A third appeared in my bedroom at 4 am on new years but I just clicked the pogo plus cos I was trying to sleep and it ran away. Only saw the next morning in the journal

NameSux · 02/01/2017 13:54

Here's the list of what hatches by distance. Not sure if updated for the babies yet

Icouldbeknitting · 02/01/2017 13:57

I'm still hoping for a Grimer, I've never seen one in the wild so I stand more chance with an egg.

QueenLizIII · 02/01/2017 14:35

I caught a load of Bulbasaur today. Now have 126 candies.

Enough to evolve a decent Ivysaur and get Venusaur finally.

Also piles of Charmander.

QueenLizIII · 02/01/2017 14:46

Hatched a Charmander from a 2k egg too

NamelessEnsign · 02/01/2017 15:45

I went to a park in Oxford today and I finally get what Pokémon is supposed to be like! There was a Sandshrew nest as well as Charmander and I landed this splendid chap (and as you can see I am nowhere near with candies). Hatched a Growlithe so am a bit nearer with candy, but my blasted iPhone battery quickly went from 100% to 6% in the cold.

What's the best mobile battery for iPhone?

Natsku · 02/01/2017 16:21

Hatched my first baby today - a Cleffa. So adorable! Have got several 5k eggs on the go that I got from the same pokestop so hoping they'll have some babies in them too. Did one of the hour long lure sessions at the library while I read a book, was pleasant but only got a couple of the starter 'mon.

TheOtherGalen · 02/01/2017 16:26

NamelessEnsign I was having major battery issues on my walks recently, too. (Am also on iPhone.) I found that if I close out all other apps, turn off wifi, and turn off bluetooth, that helps a bunch! I also keep music turned off on the game. I don't bother with the game's battery saver option, though.

That said, I, too, am looking into a battery backup. In a perfect world, there would be something that would convert the heat you generate from walking into battery power. From what I can tell, the wearable solar ones are really expensive as well as slow and unreliable.

eitak22 · 02/01/2017 16:57

Went for a walk and all i caught were ridiculously hard to catch base pokemon so am now low on pokeballs as despite making great hits they kept escaping.

Hateched a 10k which was a Scyther which i didn't have so thats great also hatched a Growlithe so closer to evolving it. Still no babies but hoping my 5ks im currently hatching will feature some.

Lilaclily · 02/01/2017 16:58

Haven't hatched any babies

Have caught loads of charmander, squirtles and festive pikachu, have got a festive raichu but not a normal one yet

DameDeDoubtance · 02/01/2017 17:31

Hatched a Togepi and caught a Hirmonlee, both new for me! The Startermon are so hard to catch and kept running away which was frustrating but all in all a good day. Off for a walk round town later to stock up on poke balls. I won't get enough Startermon to evolve but each one I catch is potentially worth 4 candy so saves me 12k of walking!
