It's A Sims Life

Any Sims players out there? I currently play The Sims 4. It struck me, after getting no sleep last night, that sims never get insomnia. They also never get toothache or need a dentist. (Though I suppose they can get electrocuted, or death by satellite.) Can you think of any more advantages to being a sim? You can also share your game tips or chat about your game here too. Your body magically springs back to its original shape after pregnancy.

Pregnancy lasts 3 days.

I don't have DC yet but i wish real life was like that - my friends with kids have told me its most definitely not :(

I'm currently playing the Sims 4 at the minute - love it.

Hey you two, I'm currently playing The Sims 3 with most of the expansion packs. I did buy The Sims 4 but I really couldn't get the hang of it.

I think the best advantage of the game is that you can buy a birthday cake throw a party then you instantly grow years older!

Oh and also the motherlode cheat Smile

Yes Lollipop !! Pregnancy lasting 3 does the baby stage of night wakings! And (in Sims2) if you put a heavily pregnant woman on a treadmill she went into labour Grin (that does NOT work in real life!)

Am playing Sims3 at the moment...but that's fairly new to me so am enjoying it. One thing I have noticed, where gameplay sucks compared to real life, the Firemen/women are shit Grin

I want Sims 4! Do you play yours on a laptop or a console? How different is it to the 3rd one? I love Sims.Grin

I've noticed Sims have very very quick sex sessions, I suppose they have to though with the neighbours always knocking and ringing!

WhatIsThePossibility · 20/12/2016 16:25

I play mine on my laptop, I just couldn't get used to the "create a sim" mode on The Sims 4.

73kittycat73 Which do you prefer?

LollipopViolet · 20/12/2016 17:12

I play on an iMac (download through Origin) I could never get on with it on a laptop or console tbh.

Ooooh I forgot about motherlode - wish that worked in real life.

WhatIsThePossibility · 20/12/2016 17:24

LollipopViolet I imagine it looking so much better on a larger screen 😀

Hi all, thanks for the replies. Xmas Smile
WhatIsThePossibility I like The Sims 3 the best so far. I like building the most. (Unless I win the lottery I can't choose my kitchen, bathroom, ect in real life but can on the sims! Xmas Grin ) I must admit, The Sims 4 is a lot more complicated than the others. I'm still getting to grips with Create-A-Sim, game play and building. Well, all of it really, lol. I'm sure there's lots of gameplay I'm missing out on. I really hope they bring out a weather expansion pack. Loved Seasons. Did anybody have the penguin pop by in Seasons? I did, I think you have to have a wall mounted fish or something?
Does anybody else download Custom Content? I use The Sims Resource.

73kittycat73 · 22/12/2016 02:45

No, not sad at all CrazyGreyhoundLady . If my computer could manage it I'd reinstall all my Sims 1 games (As well as Sims 4.)! Xmas Grin Loved Making Magic. Xmas Smile

I love making houses and characters but I'm rubbish at actually playing with them xD I don't have three or four, are they worth it? Which ones better? Is four online only? Being nosey here but dp likes to buy me games for birthdays, christmasses... Well everything really xD that's how I got all my sims 2 expansions xD

OnNaturesCourse · 29/05/2017 12:22

Yay! Simmers waves

Looking forward to the new expansion pack?

Fruitcocktail6 · 29/05/2017 12:25

I'm still on sims 3, I love it and have all the expansion packs.

I like that you can choose any career based on your interests and just work your up and gain skills, that would make real life so much easier!

OnNaturesCourse · 29/05/2017 12:34

I never took to Sims3, I stuck with 2 until 4 came out but I know a lot of people that prefer 3. Xx
