Does anyone still play World of Warcraft?

Just that really. Used to play a lot back when level 60 was the top of the game. Dipped in and out since but years out of it really. Husbot and I saw the film at the weekend and it's making me want to play again! But I work full time in a reasonably demanding job, have a child and all the usual adulting responsibilities. Does anyone fit it in? And how? And what do you do? I don't necessarily want to raid again but I really enjoyed tinkering.

DH and I used to play up until the Cataclysm expansion (I think.. Can't remember now). I do miss it but unfortunately I have no self control about it - every time we went back to it, we would end up playing every evening. Even if we were just pottering around. That's possibly just us though! I'm playing Hearthstone at the moment which scratches the itch a little bit.

Yes that's what I'm worried about. It's very easy to lose time in it! Just one more quest, instance, stack etc

I still,pay every month but haven't been on it for ages. Dd plays a bit I think.

Got to Lvl 90 I think. Never did raiding and didn't do many dungeons. There used to be a good MN guild.

Is the film any good?

My other half plays its one or two nights a week once ds is in bed. Can't wait to see the film!

I didn't really know anything about the film so I had low no real expectations, but they managed some decent character development and it was good cheesy fun. Lots of nods to actual game play which I liked.

How cool that mn had a guild!

I went back about 6 months ago and got a char to 100,very lonely without guild etc, I used to raid before kids

I play it a lot with DP.

We have a dog & a kid.
Recently we've been losing a lot of time in it. DD goes to bed at 7.30pm and we're straight on it for three hours or so before going to bed

I wish the MN guild was still going!

DP and I played together for a good few months earlier this year before we moved house. We'd spend a couple of hours on it in an evening and do that around 3 times a week. Some weekends we'd spend the entire day on it! Some of our friends have bought the new expac so we're considering going back to it for a while. Fortunately no kids so we used to manage it very easily around our jobs.

I'm back on it, enjoying new expansion. Partner won't come back to it now, he'd rather play something new, which is fair enough!

The film was really good fun, yes they changed the lore a bit but it was certainly very much in the spirit of the original Warcraft games and WoW plus baby Khadgar was adorable

I've never had a break of more than a few months from WoW since before it went live

I'm loving the new expansion. WoD was pretty good (aside from garrisons ) but Legion is bloody brilliant so far. I had quite a lot of reservations about my main class/spec (BM hunter) but I'm actually finding it really enjoyable for the most part.

I play a bit when I can. I've never been a serious player though. I just like to pootle around doing quests and farming. Other players scare me. If anyone tries to speak to me I log off until I think they've gone.

I've just restarted this week. I basically play every expansion but I'm antisocial on wow so I just do the story quests and then stop until DH convinces me to play the next expansion.
OP you should do it! I'm really enjoying this one.

I haven't bought Legion yet as I want to level cap at 100 then get it!
Only started properly playing a month ago but I'm a serial starter! Just started a blood elf hunter after only getting to lvl 70 on a Draenei Mage

I love how much there is to learn its crazy. I think I keep starting again cause I learn more and more and feel like I could do over a character better!!

Is there really a MN guild? I want to play again but DP isn't so sure but wow is shit if you've got no mates to play with! I'd be keen to get involved anyway!

Yes, my dh is. Again. For many hours He was addicted to it when it first came out, and I just hate the game. I can see the graphics etc are beautiful, but I just can't appreciate anything good about it.

My dp has gone back to this game, he used to play it years ago (before our relationship) then he was all about the PlayStation and call of duty now he's back to world of Warcraft! Think I'm destined to be a gaming widow! He plays literally every night, we have probably 1 maybe 2 at best nights a week where we watch tv and mostly that will be because I've moaned
I suppose there are worse things he could be doing, I have friends whose husbands are out every night at the pub so at least he's here at home if needed etc...

I restarted a month ago and convinced DH to do the same much more recently. SO checking out the Mumsnet guild. I might search for active members and message you a code word for an invite.

I still play. I've bought every expac, but lost interest in WoD. Now come back for Legion, but feel very behind already as was on holiday for the first 10days, and when I logged on everyone seemed 110 already

Nest of Vipers is still going? How fab. I might stop by assuming I haven't deleted those characters to accommodate new alts on my home server

I played up untill my son was born in October. I miss playing. My druid was awesome!
