Which PS4 driving game for a 6 year old? Plus B-day ideas please!

PS4 seems to lack an obviously great, inoffensive driving game like Forza for the XBox. I'm looking for max PEGI 7, so I have my eye on:

DriveClub - however this might be a little boring/limited?

or Need For Speed: Rivals - which looks perhaps too complicated for a 6 y.o. but you get to be a cop and chase racers, which I'm sure will appeal.

I see there are loads of others available too, e.g. rally cars or motorbike racing. I have no idea. Actually I need to sort DS's whole 6th birthday gift out, I am totally lacking in inspiration what to get him so any suggestions will be happily considered, but not Lego! We have so much darned Lego we could open our own Legoland.

Project cars?

Need for Speed is by far the more fun of those two.

Project Cars is good, but might be a bit dry for him, unless he really is into racing cars around real-life tracks.

The crew?

DS is 7 and plays Blur which is okay, I always crash into the walls when I play though!

There is Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing, which is more like Mariokart, it's cartoony rather than realistic.

There is also a Formula 1 game I believe, but I don't know if it's any good.
