I'm making very slow progress to L6.

It's really good fun and surprisingly really sociable.
There's not a high concentration of portals locally. It's more small clusters here and there so the journey anywhere takes the Ingress route

Hi Sheep well I'm afraid we're on opposite sides as I'm a L5 Smurf! Lots of portals where I am and tons of action. My portals get attacked on a daily basis.

It's lots of fun, but in terms of socialising the few people I have chatted to on my team are unbelievably obsessed. It's mostly men, too, and for some of them it seems like a full time job. For me, the main point really is getting to know my town better while getting out and about walking lots. The competition is secondary.

I've been dabbling with this, am only level 3 though, poor DD ends up getting dragged out into the city for whole days of gaming in her pram! We've got a local meet up this weekend which sounds like fun, just trying to convince DH that he totally wants DD for the day else she's going to be subjected to a day in the city on a Saturday which I have thus far avoided, especially as we're less than 2 months from Christmas...
