Pixelmon?

Has anyone or their DCs downloaded the pixelmon mod for Minecraft? DS is desperate for it but I am reluctant to download anything without advice.

We have it, it seems fine but it does crash quite often which has lead to some frustration.

Am I correct in thinking you can download it from the semi-official mod site? (Can you tell I have heard a LOT about this?)

we did download one but then it wouldnt work properly so ds wasnt happy. Any recommendations from where to get a decent version would be appreciated

Had no luck, I can't even get it to download. Still on the lookout though. DS keeps showing me YouTube videos and putting his best hard done by face on!

I sympathise - ds keeps saying he wishes he had pixelmon and talks about it in great detail
