Recommendations of App games for adults

Going on holiday with limited wi fi and I'd like to download a few apps for the iPad since I won't be able to play HayDay.
We like quizzes,word games, 2048. DC are 16 and 18 so no need for children's games

Words (free version of scrabble)
The sims freeplay
Covet fashion

Those are my favourites

The obvious candy crush aswell

Oh we have Candy Crush which DS1 plays on my account and is at level 3 squillion.
Never heard of Oregon Settler, I have found one called The Oregon Trail American Settler is that the one Maryz?
I have found one called "words" but it's more of a word search than a scrabble.Is it "words with friends" Opinion?

Yes I think it might be words with friends. You can get one through same company that does chess, checkers etc.

My current favourite is Plague Inc.

Very good, but more about strategy than word games / number puzzles.

Orbital (involves zapping balls) is very good too, but perhaps a bit too addictive!

Also, Sims Freeplay only works for me when I'm online. It won't load if I'm offline.

Cover orange and where is water, colourful children's graphics, but fun game play that gets heard enough to amuse adults.

There's a few offline games I play and can recommend, all free:
Bubblewitch 2 (bubblewitch 1 also good)
Farm Heroes Saga
Buttons and Scissors
Classic Words Free (a scrabble game) very good, lots of levels to choose from
Tangram HD

I'll be reading with interest to find some more - makes commuting on the tube much more bearable!

Tiny bang story a great quest/ puzzle game, graphics are lovely, difficult enough to be enjoyable but not so much so that you get stuck and fed up.

Loving Boggle at the minute.

Basically just like the traditional Boggle game where you find as many words as you can in the time. It also gives a list of all the words you could have found at the end.

My only complaint - admittedly minor - is that it won't let you do rude words (i.e. arse), but it still lists said rude words as ones you could have found....
