Scrambled Tofu - No Garlic

Does anyone have a good recipe for scrambled tofu to go with a full English style breakfast? All the recipes I've tried use garlic and we don't like garlic on our breakfast! I've tried leaving it out but that doesn't seem to work either. I had some great scrambled tofu in a cafe recently but felt it would be rude to ask how they made it.

It’s a long time since I made them, but I don’t remember using garlic (altho I wouldn’t be surprised if I’d put 8n a smidge, but not lots - I use garlic in a tube which is less obvious than fresh) I used turmeric definitely and I think paprika (less). I find turmeric gives things a buttery taste. And maybe a tiny sprinkle of marigold stock and some black pepper.

I use a tiny pinch of turmeric for the colour, some chopped chives, engevita, black pepper, and kala namak salt.

Might get out of bed and make some now, actually!

I add teaspoon turmeric, smoked paprika, a couple of tablespoons of nutritional yeast flakes, a teaspoon of soy sauce and a pinch of kala Nanak if I'm in the mood for it. Never used garlic. I'm having it too this morning 😊
