Best veggie meatballs anyone?

I ‘need’ to get some. I’ve had the Tival and the Quorn ones so far (ok but the Quorn ones fall apart a bit). Are there any others people like?

IKEA veggie balls are the best followed by Linda McCartney.

spangleswereace · 25/08/2021 20:28

Birdseye green cuisine meatballs are lovely!

wheresmyhairytoe · 25/08/2021 20:31

Tesco Plant Chef ones are lovely. The fresh ones.

Nobble · 20/09/2021 20:21

Linda McCartney- the best I have ever tried!

@KittenKong

Beyond meat add onion and a little flour and season how you like

Blahblahblahyadayadayada · 28/10/2021 22:51

Birdseye. These found them cooked in a pan seemed preferable to oven baking them.

DialsMavis · 28/10/2021 22:59

We love the Richmond ones

Arethechildreninbedyet · 03/12/2021 21:23

Ikea plant balls.

Jesus Christ they make me want to cry they're that good!

Also future farm or taste and glory.

Falafel

Mol1628 · 03/12/2021 21:28

IKEA ones are the only ones I like.

FlipFlops4Me · 05/12/2021 09:10

Not the Richmond. I did them last night and we both agreed they were gross. Not a patch on their sausages. I'm going to pull them out of the leftovers, cook some What the Cluck Chicken and then throw that in the pot because the leftovers are supposed to be tonight's meal. I often cook a huge meal in the slow cooker and we have it with pasta or rice one night, and then fresh crusty bread the next.

Once upon a time I wouldn't have done that but these days I'm soooo tired that it's easier this way.

OGenkiDesuKa · 05/12/2021 09:11

IKEA

Saisong · 05/12/2021 09:14

I use the Richmond sausages - just cut into chunks if I'm feeling lazy, or the skin peels off easily enough then you can form into balls of desired size and fry in a pan.

SquitMcJit · 05/12/2021 09:15

Linda McCartney tomato & mozzarella ones.

Cook in oven in splash of olive oil for time on packet to brown the, then add in fresh garlic and passata and cook in the sauce for another 10 mins or so while you boil the spaghetti.

Warmduscher · 05/12/2021 09:16

It depends what you like.

We had the plant pioneers ones last night in a spicy tomato sauce with tagliatelle - the flavour was fine but they were too soft.

We used to buy the Tesco soya ones as they had more bite to them but we’ve moved house and aren’t near a Tesco any more Sad

Farmfoods ones are ace.
Even the teens averse to anything vegan on principle lol loved these!
Definitely not the Richmond ones.
Thought they were horrible and I usually eat anything lol
