Just wondering what people recommend as a plant milk for normal tea? I like oat/almond for coffee but they’re just wrong in tea! TIA Smile

Alpro MyCuppa is made especially for tea. I think it’s only sold in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose though so if you can’t get hold of it, try soya, rice and cashew milk. My preference used to be soya but rice and cashew didn’t taste too bad either.
It might also help to use a stronger teabag. A friend of mine couldn’t get used to any plant milks until she used Twinings Strong Breakfast tea.

I think I have the opposite problem because I have really milky tea so find plant milks keep my tea too strong!
I'll try out the MyCuppa, at the moment I'm still using dairy because at the moment I have to use so much oat milk that it makes me tea cold.Sad

I use MyCuppa too and I think it's brilliant. My dp is happy to have it too (and he's a meat eater) if he runs out of milk.
@Fivemoreminutes1 we have it in our local Tesco, as well as Waitrose

Hazelnut milk isn't too bad. I have tried to like Oatly barista in my tea but i can't get on with it! Can't stand soya milk either. I like almond milk but apparently that's bad for the planet Sad

We use Alpro Soya light as it's quite bland.

YessicaHaircut · 25/03/2021 06:53

Agree MyCuppa is good! Morrisons have it too.

Greybeardy · 25/03/2021 09:14

Brill! Thanks everyone - that’s given me lots to try out Smile.

Another vote for Alpro MyCuppa - I think it's great! I get mine from Sainsbury's and Ocado.

We use oat milk (Tesco own label or one from the milkman at the moment) but I've read good things about hemp milk which I'd like to try.

After years of drinking green tea as i didn't like any of the plant milks in black tea , I now have Aldi oat milk and love it. I also have it in coffee. I dont like oatly or any other plant milks in tea or coffee, just the Aldi one

Jord oat and barley milk.
It has been homogenised so no interesting sludge at the bottom.
They also do plain oat plus oat and hemp mix.
I have a soy and milk allergies and this stuff has made me happy.
