Christmas breakfasts?

I used to have dippy egg and soldiers when I was a child and I carried this until I went vegan a few years ago. It would be nice to start a new tradition.

What does everyone do for breakfast on Christmas morning? Anything special?

If I were vegan I would have delicious exotic mushrooms on toast for my Christmas breakfast.

Ooooh this sounds good!

This is my ideal vegan christmas breakfast:

Fruit platter, coconut yoghurt, granola.

Then;

fried potato bread, (or 'potato scones' depending on where you are in the UK), lightly garlicky mushrooms, herby tomatoes and homemade baked beans.

Mimosas / juice / tea / coffee etc. Yummy.

Scrambled tofu. There are loads of recipes online, some spicier than others. I like this one minimalistbaker.com/southwest-tofu-scramble/ on sourdough

These vegan croissant are really good. www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/Product/la-boulangere-vegan-croissants-x6 I like mine served warm with caramel sauce, dark chocolate chips and raspberries. I’ve made this sauce realfood.tesco.com/recipes/vegan-salted-caramel.html but Sweet Freedom caramel syrup would work too.

Black Forest Bircher made with dairy alternatives www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/black-forest-bircher

I’m going to do Vegan Richa’s cinammon rolls

I would always have smoked salmon and scrambled eggs in a previous life, might do a very fancy avocado on toast with naice bread and a drizzle of truffle oil and roasted cherry tomatoes maybe?

V-bites rashers in a soft roll and coffee

I’ll also be having cinnamon rolls. With figs and berries to make it a more wintry, luxurious breakfast.

Avocado on toast. Every time.

I'm not vegan but bil is and comes for Xmas.
I usually do a buffet of bake in the oven croissants, pan au chocolate and cinnamon rolls with nice jams.
I make homemade granola and serve it with vegan suitable yogurt and home made cranberry and orange compote.
I also have loads of nice berries and fruit juices.

I’m not vegan but I think I’d love to have a (vegan) bagel buffet. Get bagels, vegan cream cheese, and a whole host of toppings such as scallions, capers, red onion, cucumber, tomato, jams, vegan butter, etc. That’ll definitely keep you going until Christmas lunch.

I am a bit boring and always have crumpets for my Christmas breakfast. Having said that we have some vegan bacon from M&S that I want to try either on Christmas day or breakfast on Boxing Day.
