Soaking soya mince

Do you have to soak soya mince in water? I was going to try using vegetable stock but would anything else work or is best to use water and then cook in the sauce?

I never soak it.
I just add it just before adding the sauce.

Thanks! I'll give it a try.

I’ve never bothered soaking it. Tend to only use it in saucy type stuff (bolognese, chilli etc.) but haven’t noticed a huge amount of difference in the amount of liquid I tend to add compared to meat.

I do but I soak it in stock while I’m doing the rest so it probably could just go in dry?
