I've inflicted Veganuary on my family this year (DH and two older teen boys) on the basis that I've pandered to their needs for nearly two decades but now, if I'm doing the cooing and shopping, I get to chose. FWIW and so as not to get diverted they're all pretty good around the house but I've always been in charge of food because I enjoy it and because when DC were young I wanted control of their diet
Anyway they decided they'd do a roast today, which was absolutely fine. I ate all the bits that were vegan and had a it with a bean burger I'd previously made and frozen.
And gravy made from Kallo vegan granules, which was very disappointing, watery, didn't dissolve properly and didn't thicken.
Is there a better alternative?
I know I could have made a proper "gravy" type sauce but the whole point was that they were cooking and I wasn't making life too complicated 😁
