Meat craving

So I doubt I will ever go fully veggie, never mind vegan. But I do want to eat less meat, mainly for environmental reasons,. But I need to stop the meat craving which kicks in after about a week meat free. Did any of you have that and does it ever go away?

Also what is nutritional yeast that is often mentioned on here?

Yes, but if you don’t eat meat it goes away. There are some pretty good substitutes, for example shroom dog sausages from Sainsbury’s.

Make sure you’re eating enough protein in other forms.

I'm a life long veggie, so don't get cravings. Make sure you are getting plenty of pulses, nuts, green veg. Marmite is good for Vit B12 (I think), which many vegans lack. You might find it easier to be vegetarian to start with. Don't over load with carbs to compensate, but when you do use them have wholemeal.
