Ok, I know, its only august, but I am a newish (plant based eater) , so would love to know of any great recipes that I can practise ahead of time, that myself and my veggie daughter can have at christmas.

I am thinking, some kind of nut/lentil loaf roast, with some veggie/vegan stuffing? Smile

Ooh I make a lovely mushroom Wellington thing, will find the recipe. Never done it but you're meant to buy vegan pastry for it.

I do it at Christmas and stick little trees and stars on the top BTW. It's very festive

Ooh mushroom Wellington sounds fab.

When I was vegetarian I used to do Delia's parsnip roulade, which is pretty dairy heavy, but the idea could be veganised - kind of like a savoury Swiss roll with puréed parsnip and stuffing.

To be honest for a 'normal' roast dinner I'm happy wth just tonnes of lovely vegetables and maybe a slice of nutty/lentily/stuffingy something.

Wow! These sound fab! Thank you Wink Only problem I have, is that my DD is picky about mushrooms Hmm, I could use them, but I would have to disguise them so she didnt know they were there, hence the idea of a loaf? I am working on her, she has only been veggie for 5 weeks, but is very determined, although she is a bit fussy and would happily live off linda mcartney If I allowed it! She did eat a sweet potato and spinach curry last night that I made though, so we are getting there... Grin
