Insta-Pot?

Anyone successfully making vegan meals in an insta-pot? Have friends raving about it but after realising Veg just doesn't do well in a slow cooker I'm reluctant to buy before I try.....thoughts?

I have an Instant Pot; use it every day. It isn't just a slow cooker (in fact I've only used it once for that purpose). I use it mostly as a pressure cooker, but I also make natto on the yoghurt setting.

I've heard it's good for quick cooking dried beans - what else? Everyone else I know who has one seems to do meat dishes

It cooks everything in about a quarter of the time it would take on the hob. New potatoes (or big chunks of normal) in about 4-5 mins; yy to pulses/legumes super-quick - very useful for batch-cooking that kind of thing in bulk and then freezing in portions for quick meals. Veggie curries/chillis done in half an hour.

Other more incidental but v handy uses - re-heating leftovers without using the microwave or oven, very quickly, and without drying anything out; even straight from the freezer - again, in a few minutes.

I have an InstantPot and a copy of Vegan Under Pressure - loads of great recipes and tons of uses.

Apologies for hi-jacking your thread op, but as a vegan the three items of always wondered if we were buying are:
Insta pot
Air fryer
Dehydrator
What's your verdict?

Also, with an instapot can you throw in rice, lentils, spices and come back later?!
