Dubai, Oman, New York, Goa , Egypt.

You see , I didn't see the UK bit!!!

The Lake District is beautiful. Lots of easy walking to be found and beautiful scenery.

Out of UK, Cyprus. Not sure about in the UK, so much is weather dependent!

Pernera is quite quiet but has a lovely beach. Nearby Protaras has more going for it?

Agadir in Morocco was quite nice for October, as was RBOTP suggestion, Egypt. Florida would prob be ok as half term is last week in October- at least in our area- and we went the 1st week in November last year and it was great, no hurricane-type weather at all. We would prob go again just 1-2 weeks earlier, in October next time as we went for 3 weeks and it was a bit chilly on a couple of days, but only lightweight jumper weather. It was fab otherwise, and I REALLY want to go back!

Canaries would still be nice
