Any recommendations for a large group?

we are really struggling to find somewhere for a sisters reunion when she flies in fromthe U.S.

we are 6 adults and 8 kids hence ideally after 6-7 bedrooms and looking in Devon, Cornwall, Isle of Wight or similar.
The struggle we are having is finding somewhere for 4 days-all laces seem to want a minimum of one week.

Any suggestions-large house or group of cottages?

Thanks

Depends on your preferred location and if you wanted to be by the coast or rural as well as your price range for the weekend, but we used these recently for a similar family event.

Although the location was rural and initially we thought middle of nowhere, but it turned out great and was ideal for family groups as we had use of a pool, a BBQ for the evenings and kids stuff like a trampoline, pool table as well as cots and high chairs etc.

Looking at their availability they are very popular and busy all summer but might be worth a try and have something in July depending on your dates.

I know that you didnt ask for Sussex but we have stayed here Iona In The Witterings. ! minute walk from the beech.

The house is big enough that you dont all get on top of each other & the rooms are al good sizes. The lounge is also big so you could have a few sleep on the sofa/floor if you bring some sleeping bags.

Hello, we have stayed at Wringworthy cottages just outside Looe before. They have a Party barn there and I think they do take groups. But it is July and it can be a real pain trying to find something with space in the summer. Try some of the late websites like last minute cottages or something specially for groups - I think there is one called big holiday homes? If not why not look at all camping together could be great fun if the weather is good!

We go in a large group every year with DH's uni friends (to the Heart of England though as we are spread all over). We usually have to take the property for the week (3 of them are teachers) and just write off the cost of the extra days. Is the price you pay for wanting it during peak season I am afraid.

I've stayed here a few times, it's perfect for big groups. They may do you a 4 day break, the lady who runs it, Jill, is really helpful.

Tor View.

I forgot to say, The Cleeve is in Exmoor National Park (Devon/Somerset border) and it's only available 19-23 July this year. It has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
