We are going to an evening wedding reception next Saturday at a place beside The Angel of the North as its the bank holiday weekend we were thinking of staying somewhere else for a night and wondered if there was anything that people could recommend to stay with a 4 year old.

We live in Scotland so head back up that way so en route is good too. We aren't great city people so unless there are lots of fab things in Newcastle to do that I don't know about, would prefer something a bit more rural.

Thanks

Bamburgh is lovely. Or Dunstanburgh. Holy Island.

Or closer to Newcastle Tynemouth.

The Baltic is fantastic if you like art.

Ooh I'm glad you said Bamburgh is nice, have now found recommendation for Victoria Hotel in Bamburgh meant to be good with kids
