EXMOUTH recommendations please!

Am off to Exmouth in May for DS's 1st holiday! So excited (going slightly stir crazy on maternity leave!) and looking for any recommendations for things to do or places to eat locally. DS will be 8 months. Ta muchly.

Go to Budleigh Salterton. It's about 5/6 miles from Exmouth. If you like peace and quiet and a nice long front to push DS along that is!

Beach is stoney but absolutely gorgeous. Very tranquill. My favourite place on earth just for chilling. It is an old person lots of tea rooms type place though so don't go if you want excitement!

Budleigh Salterton is lovely.

There used to be a pub in Topsham called The Bridge which won the 'Best Kept Beer' national award for years and years - it was like someone's front room, and we used to go as students. The cellar woman was called Phyllis and did the most amazing pints of beer. No idea if it is still there, biut it was amazing (not visited since bout 1995 mind...)

Brilliant, thank you!! Have just googled Budleigh Salterton & looks lovely. Am very much up for a nice relaxing time & going with my mom & dad too so it looks perfect.
