London accomadation ideas please!

Arranging for 3 of us to go to London for 2 nights in June. Prefer single beds

Have booked Premier inn at total cost of £414 as they dont do triples so got 1 x twin and 1 x double. May have another friend coming for one of the nights that would bring cost down but still a bit too high.

Can anyone recommend anything cheaper? Wants something nice and not too much of a nightmare to get from on the tube from the O2 late at night...

Plan is arrive Sat mid day. Look around/ light shopping as we will have bags. Check in...dinner/sightseeing

Sunday. Sightseeing/shopping.
Evening..concert

Monday home.

No idea what area I should be looking in!

Travelodge? book early enough and they are quite cheap - they are basic though.
I have just used the Travelodge at Farringdon. Clean but basic. It was about 50-60 a night. Saved the rest and put it towards very decent tickets for a show.
It was just under £4 for a black cab from Kings Cross to the hotel, which we did each time. You get knackered enough from walking around London anyway.
Check in from 3 but can pay £10 for an hour earlier check-in and there's no luggage room (which was a pain)

This is available from 19 June just east of the city so closer to O2.

how about the holiday inn in Kings X

Thanks That would be idea but will be June 12th/13 th. Stayed in halls at Cardiff before was fab!
