Depending on her budget, if she's mad about all things historical, she might like to stay at the Mermaid link
The George Hotel seemed nice, we went for lunch there the other day.

We stayed at the George Hotel a couple of years ago, really interesting old coaching inn with fantastic original Georgian ballroom, you can really imagine a Jane Austen type ball being held there.

It had just been taken over by new owners when we stayed, and they seem to have been very busy in the last couple of years and although it all looks gorgeous I don't think we could afford to stay there again .

It's a shame because the staff were lovely and really looked after us on our first weekend away as a little family with DD then aged about 18mo. Food was great too.

Thanks!
They all look absolutely perfect for her but too expensive I am afraid.

Was thinking along the lines of normal bed and breakfast in the town .

Thanks anywya.
