Open top bus tour is good - although I think we did the same lap three times!

Having a picnic lunch in the park in front of the Crescent (weather permitting of course).

The Baths museum - really good and free I think.

The shopping is fab - loads of little back street boutiques and cafes etc.

here

This is a fab little German streudel bar with a great german gift shop upstairs and a cute little basement streudel bar downstairs. It's near the Crescent and park.

Ice cream parlor!!!! (Italian Ice cream co.?)

We go there daily when we go to Bath

The Roman Baths are interesting.

Spa looks fabulous but we have never made it yet

Bath is a really nice place just for wandering about though.

Why on earth would you want to go out????

LEMprefersdogstocats · 12/02/2010 07:42

Im with you there tarty - weekend away for me and DP would be - dinner at hotel, go to bed, breakfast at hotel - go back to bed!! if only..................

We might do a bit of exploring too, although i think i wouldn't actuallhy plan anything i would just see where my nose took me (not far, so i could get back to bed quickly!!)

Enjoy!!!

i am always rather disapointed by posts liek that!
do you not have sex at home ever?

tartyhighheels · 12/02/2010 07:52

I used to live in Bath so sightseeing would not be on my agenda

But honestly, that is what I would spend the weekend doing if I had my husband to myself.

Have a lovely time, Bath is amazing

oopsandbabycoconut · 12/02/2010 07:52

Youre - I don't think it's the never having sex at home I think it's the chance to have copious amounts of sex without the threat of disturbance!

If you are feeling flush afternoon tea at the pump rooms is lovely, we tend to gererally wonder around aimlessly enjoyiing not having to push, pull nag anyone to get moving.

foxinsocks · 12/02/2010 07:53

lol

it's nice Bath but I'm always surprised by the sheer number of tourists there (I know I probably shouldn't be but it does always take me back!).

tartyhighheels · 12/02/2010 07:56

Sally Lunns Bun Shop - tres touristy but lovely buns......

It's true fox - living there was a nightmare in season, never anywhere to park for work and all that but it does compensate living in such a glorious place
