St Andrews area Scotland

We fancy going to Scotland this year for the annual summer hols - back end of August. We want to spend a day in Edinburgh and a day in Kinross (visit family).

Any recommendations of self catering accommodation for a family of 4 - child friendly as youngest is 3? Would like to be near a beach as possible - direct access would be fab!

Budget is around £900 but could stretch if required for perfect place!

All help appreciated!!

Five of us stayed at a great place in Anstruther last October. Its called Fleming's Yard and I found it here

As you may know, the fish and chips in Anstruther are second to none! Easy access to St Andrews as well. Hope this helps

I've just bought a holiday home in the area but we are not letting it out. Sorry.

East Fife Letting is another company to try.

Anywhere between Elie and Crail would be fantastic.

What is Largo like? I have seen a lovely property there but wondered if we would be better further east along the coast?

Anstruther fish and chips are indeed fabbo - and The Hairy Bikers agree too!

Can't help with places to stay though, sorry.

We stayed here once, a good few years back now. Was nice. No direct access to a beach but not far to get to one. Kingsbarns beach is lovely.

We own 2 holiday apartments in the East Neuk of Fife-one in Elie and one in Crail.
They are both lovely for a short break away with your loved one. Crail residence has a very comfy sofa bed for the children. Both have log fires and are very comfortable. It's a fabulous area with something for everyone.
