Self- Catering accommodationfor large groups?

I'm wondering if any of you can help me with a quest...

We are organising a weekend retreat for 2010.

We need self-catering accommodation for between 40 and 50 people, somewhere no more than 2.5 hour travel from Oxfordshire. It can't be too pricey, either, and we have a mixed group of ages...from 2 to 70/80 years old, some families, some couples and some singles.

Anybody got any ideas? I have looked at conference centres, but most seem to be catered, and we would prefer places without bunkbeds (so not YHA).

Told you it was a quest!

Thanks in advance for your help!

try the bigdomain website.
A colleague looked at this place for her wedding. No idea about catering though.

Or what about a holiday camp/mobile home park type place, where small groups could have their own chalet or caravan?

This may have some places big enough for you all.
