which is the best Butlins?

I have been to Butlins at Bognor 4 years ago to an over 18s weekend but we are now considering taking dd (2) in march.

We have been to Haven twice since having dd and found the caravans clean and spacious but the parks grotty and facilities poor. (Caister and Presthaven)

Which Butlins is the best and which accomodation/SC or HB?

thanks

We like Skegness one best - we go SC and usually upgrade to silver (Standard accom is fine but usually go on a cheap Sun hol so upgrade still means its cheap). Nice site, directly onto beach, short bus/car ride into Skeggy - bus stops at Butlins.

Went to Minehead couple of years ago, site over the road from beach but found the site to be too big.

Entertainment was the same sort of stuff at both sites.

Hopes thats a bit helpful

yes that help thanks.
are there places to eat if you go SC? or do you cook?
when i went the room for hb was tiny so maybe sc would give us more room?

We usually have breakfast in the accom (Tesco is just over the road at Minehead) and then eat out during the day

Just outside the site in Minehead were a couple of lovely cafes and theres a pub called the Queens Hall (food isn't up to much but we used to eat in the cafe and go downstairs where they have a free small soft play area and free video games for the kids. Same with skeggy really - lots of great, clean, reasonable cafes.

Both site have small but free fun fairs as well. As your DS is only 2 at least he won't be pestering for goes on the arcade games!!!

The swimming baths on site (splash world?) is well worth going to - get there as they are opening as they get busy.

We go SC because we don't like being tied to eating at particular times as we like to go off site during the day.
