Child friendly hotels Scotland

Hi

Planning to have 1-2 nights in a hotel to celebrate my dad's 60th. Will be for an extended family group. My ds's (4 and 3) will be the only children.

Can anyone recommened somewhere that is child friendly - particularly for eating in the evening, either has a creche (like Crieff Hydro - fully booked) or babysitting or somewhere that tolerates small children who find 2 hour meals difficult!

Ideally would be no more than 1-2 hours from Glasgow.

The Hilton up at Aviemore is supposed to be great - Colymbridge, might be a bit too far though?

What about somewhere near Peebles?

How about the Marine hotel in North Berwick?
Its part of the MacDonald Group now nice seaside location for the children and a lovely spa for the grown ups.

Thanks - peebles hydro looks good. The marine hotel is fully booked.
Seamill Hydro in ayrshire also looks promising.

Crieff Hydro

Hi - have booked Peebles Hydro - have children's club and high tea.

HAve stayed at Crieff hydro before and it is great but they will only take bookings or 2 nights at the weekend and we can only get the whole group together for 1 night.

DP says there are more hotels than you could shake a big stick at within 1 or 2 hours of Glasgow!

What's your budget? Do you have any other criteria to narrow it down a little?
