Best sandy beaches near Wareham?

We're off to Wareham on Saturday with DSs who are 4 and 4 months.

I'd love to know where the best sandy beaches are (was hoping for something with rockpools too if possible...)?

I'm planning a boat trip from Wareham to Poole, a day at Swanage and the train from Swanage to Corfe Castle. What else would we enjoy?

Best and nearest sandy beaches are at Swanage (if you want to be close to facilities) and Studland (more rural).

The railway has a park & ride car park just before Corfe. Get the train from there into Swanage and avoid having to find somewhere to park in Swanage.

There's a couple of farms - Farmer Palmers (v,near Wareham) and Putlake Adventure Farm (near Swanage).

I was gonna suggest studland too. Its lovely there, and tho might seem fairly long to get there it is the nearest and the best beach for miles around. am basically coping chippyminton but i wrote it before reading post. Monkey world is good, near bovington tho advertised as wareham, but a little pricy.

Thank you!

Are there any rock pools to be had anywhere?

i would think there would be plenty if you went down to swanage beach. we always used to go to swanage beach on school trips for the rock pools.
